Kanguru Solutions, a maker of computer storage and security peripherals, today announced they’d added a new external combination Serial ATA and USB 2.0 hard drive to their line up of products. This latest Kanguru QuickSilver is available now in different storage sizes (80GB to 500GB) and price ranges ($139.95 to $529.95).
The Kanguru QuickSilver (SATA/USB 2.0) external hard drive, said Kanguru, is capable of getting hard drive transfer rates up to 1.5GB per second via the SATA interface. This drive is targeted towards video creation, editing and production, graphic design and gaming.
Other features of the Kanguru QuickSilver (SATA/USB 2.0) include support for both Windows and Mac OS, a high strength enclosure that reportedly secures the drive from external damage and resists up to 200Gs of shock, a blue LED status light and a custom carrying case.
