LapWorks Launches Cooling Laptop Stands

For those who find themselves using their laptops away from home a little less often than expected, LapWorks introduced two new laptop stands on Tuesday to keep desktop-bound portables cool and comfortable for users. The Attache and Envoy use similar designs to elevate notebook screens and pump hot air away from them.

Both stands feature a concave surface for the laptop to sit on, which allows air to circulate underneath with the aid of two USB-powered fans. While both units are constructed from ABS plastic, the pricier Attache gains an aluminum faceplate intended to help dissipate heat quicker. The stands have four different elevation settings along with four USB 2.0 ports to act as a hub.

“Raising a laptop’s screen closer to eye level keeps you from craning your neck to see it, reducing strain on upper body and neck,” said Jose Calero, LapWorks’ president, in a statement. “Angling the keyboard also allows arms and elbows to hang relaxed at your side, for more ergonomically comfortable typing than when set flat on a desk.”

Both stands are available immediately through LapWorks’ online store. The Attache sells for $69.95, while the Envoy goes for $49.95.

Can the Quest 3 replace my laptop for work? I found out the hard way

It might sound odd, but VR headsets should be used for more than just games. Most computing devices serve a variety of purposes. Your PC works all day with you, then transitions to entertainment, whether watching movies, browsing the web, or playing games. The best VR headsets can be just as functional --  at least, in theory.

I tried Lenovo’s first water-cooled gaming laptop, and I was blown away
Lenovo Legion 9i keyboard and trackpad.

Lenovo has some of the best gaming laptops on the market, and it has extensively built its line to offer a range of configurations for different scenarios. The new Legion 9i Pro, however, is something special.

From specs alone, it's one of the fastest gaming laptops money can buy, offering up to an RTX 4090 and Intel's Core i9-13980HX. But the specs aren't what stand out here. Lenovo has taken this device to the next level with water cooling, an ultra-bright mini-LED display, 140 watts of USB-C charging, and so much more. It's not here yet, but the Legion Pro 9i might be Lenovo's best laptop yet.
