AMD’s new Ryzen 9 7950X3D is up to 24% faster than Intel’s best
AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su showing the Ryzen 9 7950X3D at CES 2023.

AMD is starting off its CES strong with the introduction of new 3D V-Cache Ryzen 7000 CPUs. Unlike the previous generation, AMD isn't restricting its 3D V-Cache to just a midrange CPU, and is instead introducing three chips that match most of AMD's current-gen lineup.

AMD introduced the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D during its CES keynote today. The flagship chip, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, tops out with 16 cores, a 5.7GHz boost clock speed, and 144MB of cache.

AMD might deal a huge blow to Intel with new 3D V-Cache CPUs
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

According to a new leak, AMD may be readying up some truly powerful Ryzen 7000 processors equipped with its 3D V-Cache technology.

The rumor suggests that this time around, at least three CPUs are in the works, and they're the top-of-the-line models, including the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800XD. Equipping the already powerful flagships with 3D V-Cache would pose a real threat to Intel's top Raptor Lake CPUs. What can we expect from these gaming beasts?

You can overclock the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but it’s still risky
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D chip.

Despite AMD's warning that the Ryzen 7 5800X3D cannot be overclocked, the CPU has just been spotted running far above its maximum boost frequency.

The processor managed to hit a clock speed of 4.8GHz. Does that mean that everyone should overclock the upcoming 3D V-Cache CPU? Not necessarily.
