Small and Slim Averatec N3400 Stays Ahead of Netbooks

Averatec may have just introduced an all-in-one desktop with a 22-inch display, but the company isn’t forgetting its notebook customers: the new N3400 ultraportable notebook offers most of the portability of the oh-so-popular netbooks with some of the power and flexibility of a higher-end notebook—at a price that shouldn’t frighten too many potential customers.

“As one of the thinnest and lightest notebooks on the market, the N3400 meets the demand of consumers who require the ultimate in portability and a little flash of style without breaking the bank,” said TriGem sales VP Henry Hewitt, in a statement. “This notebook is sure to stand out from the crowd with its low weight, small footprint, and affordable price point.”

The N3400 features a 13.4-inch 1,366 by 768-pixel display, an Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 CPU running at 2.16 GHz, 3 GB of RAM (with support for 8 GB), and a 250 GB SATA hard drive. The display is driven by Intel GMA X4500HD graphics—to it’s not going to be a gaming monster—but the N3400 does sport Bluetooth and 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless networking, three USB 2.0 ports, a 1.3 megapixel Webcam, VGA video output, and a 4-in-1 media card reader. Folks looking for an optical drive can get by with an external USB Super Multi 8× dual layer burner—at least it’s not weighing you down if you know you won’t need it—and the entire package comes in at just 3.8 pounds and less than an inch thick, making it highly portable.

The N3400 packs Windows Vista Home Premium and is available now at a suggested price of $799.

How to set an ‘Out of Office’ message in Microsoft Teams

Many people use Microsoft Teams regularly to communicate with colleagues both inside of the office and remotely. It is considered one of the most efficient ways to ensure you can stay in contact with the people on your team, but what if you need to let people know you’re not readily available? Microsoft Teams has a method for you to set up an "Out of Office" status for your profile to let staff members know when you’ll be gone for the afternoon, for several days on vacation, or for an extended period.
Where do I go to set up my ‘Out of Office’ status for Teams?
It is important to note that your Microsoft Teams and Outlook calendars are synced. This includes your out-of-office status and automatic replies. So, whatever you set up in Microsoft Teams will reflect in Outlook. Similarly, you can set up your out-of-office status in Outlook, and it will be reflected in Teams; however, the former has a more straightforward instruction.

First, you can click on your profile icon in Teams and go directly to Schedule an out of office, as a shortcut. This will take you to the settings area where you can proceed. You can also click the three-dot icon next to your profile icon, then go to Settings > General, then scroll down to the bottom of the page. There, you'll find out-of-office settings and click Schedule.
