H2O Audio knows that some people live in the water, and some people live for their music…and some people live for both. Now the company that specializes in water-capable and waterproof accessories for Apple’s iPod product line has announced its new H3 Waterproof headphones, which the company is touting as a significant improvement over its original waterproof/underwater headphones.
“H2O Audio products are designed and developed by and for sport enthusiasts,” said H2O Audio CEO Kristian Rauhala, in a statement. “Our new H3’s are by far the best sounding and most versatile headphones that we have developed.”
The H3 headphones offer a third-generation speaker technology that H2O claims offers 10 db greater output levels than the company’s original underwater headphones (all the better to induce hearing loss!), along with improved bass response and better out-of-water sound. The phones can be work as earbuds, or attached to a newly-designed sportsband, a reactive coiled cable helps eliminate cord tangle, and “aquatic silencer” earplugs offer improved comfort as well as a waterproof seal.
The H3 underwater headphones carry a suggested retail price of $49.99, and are available from H2O’s site as well as Apple stores, REI, CompUSA, and sporting goods, ski, skate, and snow stores.
