Peripheral and accessory maker iLuv is known for its unique take on AV and portable media peripherals, and the company is showing its style once again with the new iSP100 portable speaker system. Designed to work with any media player, phone, or device that offers a stereo headphone output, the iSP100 isn’t designed to blow out your neighbors’ eardrums, but rather to deliver an immersive listening experience for an affordable price.
“iLuv is thrilled to bring consumers a powerful-sounding and ultra-portable speaker option that will set a standard for on-the-go music listening,” said iLuv sales VP Robert Caputo, in a statement. “Unlike other products on the market that feature mono sound and less than half the output power, the iLuv iSP100 raises the bar for portability and sound.”
The iSP100 claims to offer 720° Surround Sound (we guess that means you have to turn around twice to fully appreciate it), and iAura acoustic speaker technology. The unit operates off three AAA batteries or a DC adapter, pushes 2 Watts per channel, and weighs just a quarter pound. The unit ships with a carrying pound and features volume controls on its body. It works with iPods, iPhones, and any music player with a 3.5mm output jack.
The iSP100 should be available this month for $34.99.
