The player’s memory and controls are all housed within the small, sleekly-styled ear pieces, so there’s nothing at all to carry when listening to music.
The new JVC XA-A50CL player can store approximately 30 MP3 or 60 WMA/WMA-DRM files in its built-in 128MB flash memory. The unit connects to a PC as a USB mass storage device, so there’s no software required – adding files is a simple drag and drop procedure.
For easy operation while wearing the ear clips, the player offers JVC’s Voice Guidance system that provides audio confirmation for all functions so there’s no need to see the controls while operating them. Voice Guidance offers three language options. Additional conveniences include the ability to create and save three playlists and 20 hours of playback time from the player’s single AAA.
“Our new digital audio player offers the ultimate in portability by combining the player and ear pieces into a single pair of distinctively-styled ear clips,†said Steve Howcott, General Manager, Consumer Audio, JVC Company of America. “It’s perfect for anybody who wants to take their music collection along wherever they go, but it’s especially well-suited for active use because there’s no player to carry in your hand or pocket.â€
To enhance the music listening experience, the XA-A50CL player includes four SRS Surround modes: TruBass and Wow Mode 1, Wow Mode 2 and Wow Mode3. In addition, there are four preset EQ settings (classic, live, pop, rock) to customize the sound to suit listening preferences or music type.
The XA-A50CL stands apart from other digital music players by its bold design. The ear clips have a piano black finish accented by silver function buttons, and feature a distinctive, sculpted design.
The XA-A50CL will be available in March at a nationally advertised value of $164.95.
