Apple iPad 10.2, iPad Pro, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 discounted for Memorial Day

Both Best Buy and Amazon have some great Memorial Day sales on a wide variety of products, and we’ve spotted several great deals on several Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab models. The biggest discounts offer up to $130 off the retail price, and these deals are good through Monday.

Best Buy’s deals include the latest model 10.2-inch Apple iPad, marked down from $330 to $250, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 10.5-inch, marked down from $730 to $600, while Amazon’s has the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pr marked down to $963 from $999. While the Galaxy Tab S and iPad Pros are the cream of the crop when it comes to tablets, the standard iPad is one of the best all-purpose tablets available on the market today.

The iPad 10.2 is a great all-around tablet with sufficient space — 32GB worth — to store your music, photos, videos, and even a few downloaded movies in HD, too. With a 10.2-inch Retina Display now standard even on the cheapest iPads, all your content looks vibrant and colorful, and it supports the Apple Pencil if you’re feeling a little creative. And with support now for the Smart Keyboard — new to this generation — you could even use it as a laptop too (with a lot more power than those cheap ones you see elsewhere).

Step up to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 if you need more processing power and storage (and especially if you use other Android devices). All your content syncs seamlessly with your Tab, and it’s 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display is a step above the standard iPad, and rivals the iPad Pro in its clarity and color. You’ll get 256GB of storage space with this particular model, and an optional keyboard with trackpad instantly turns your Tab into a more traditional laptop experience.

Apple iPad Pro 12.9 — $963, was $999

At the top of the heap is the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. A beast of a tablet, it’s 12.9-inch Liquid Retina Display is hands down the best display on any device. The included A12 Bionic processor makes the iPad Pro fly and is more powerful than most desktops and laptops currently available. Add in the Apple Pencil, and the brand new Magic Keyboard — which now includes a trackpad, too — and this just might replace both your laptop and desktop with how good it is.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 with a free S Pen is down to $199
A render of the front of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2024.

There are tablet deals that slash the prices of devices that are designed to meet the requirements of creative professionals, but you can also take advantage of offers for tablets that are designed for simpler purposes. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a great example of the latter, and it's on sale from Walmart with a $150 discount that pulls its price down to a very affordable $199 from $349. It's not going to stay this cheap for long though, so if you're interested in this bargain you're going to have to complete your purchase as soon as possible.

Why you should buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is now available, but the 2022 release of the tablet, which is the one that's discounted on Walmart, remains a worthwhile purchase today as long as you manage your expectations. It's not going to challenge the best tablets in terms of performance as it only offers 4GB of RAM, but it's going to be more than enough for daily activities such as browsing the internet, catching up on social media, and watching streaming shows. The tablet only comes with 64GB of storage, but you can use a microSD card for up to 1TB of additional space.

Apple 10.2-inch iPad -- $270 was $329

This is one of those Cyber Monday iPad deals you don't want to miss. Digital Trends' Adam Doud once called the 2021 Apple iPad "the new boss," in his Apple iPad (2021) review, which, admittedly, is a lot like the old boss. That's not a bad thing -- it just means Apple got it right the first time, and with its return, they got it right again, with a little more power inside. It has great battery life, powerful internal hardware, and offers a big upgrade to the front-facing camera from the previous generation. Plus, the base storage is increased and much more acceptable with today's data-heavy activities. Grab this deal while it lasts.
