The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B launched earlier this year and as we noted back in February, this model boasts some considerable upgrades from previous Raspberry boards. For starters, it has a new 1.2GHz, 64-bit quad-core ARMv8 processor that’s paired with 1GB of RAM. That replaces the 900MHz CPU found on the older version. Onboard Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity also make this the first Internet of Things-ready Raspberry Pi. The Wi-Fi support lets you get online, whereas the Bluetooth connectivity allows it to connect to peripherals and sensors.
Other noteworthy features include a full-size HDMI port, MicroSD slot, and four USB ports.
