Powerbeats Pro are on sale for just $130 at Best Buy (no, that’s not a typo)

Quick! The Powerbeats Pro are on sale at Best Buy right now for $130 — down a massive $120 from the usual $250. There is a slight catch, though: The model on sale is refurbished. But that’s not a bad thing. Hardware that has been under the knife is actually subjected to stricter testing than a model that has just rolled of the production line, so consider this your chance to take home some high-end true wireless earbuds from a reputable retailer at a rock-bottom price without sacrificing reliability.

If you haven’t already rushed over to Best Buy’s website and started punching in your credit card number, you’re probably waiting to find out a little more about the Powerbeats Pro to decide whether they’d be a valued addition to your portable listening arsenal. We’ll cut straight to the chase: They are a must-have for anyone searching for a comfortable pair of true wireless earbuds to accompany a workout or run, thanks to their water-resistant, secure-fitting design and incredible nine-hour battery life.

But how do the Powerbeats Pro stack up against the rival AirPods Pro? While the AirPods Pro are smaller, more comfortable, noise-canceling, and sweat-resistant, they’re missing the wraparound hooks that keep the Powerbeats in place during intense exercise like a stint on a treadmill or a one-on-one with a heavy bag. This makes the Powerbeats Pro the preferred choice of fitness fanatics; while the AirPods Pro, with their noise-blocking smarts, are better suited to commuters and convenience listeners alike.

If you’re still on the fence about buying something refurbished, there’s really nothing to worry about. As long as you’re buying hardware that has been repaired by an authorized engineer, comes complete with a guarantee, and is being sold by a reputable retailer, you’re on to a winner. Obviously, the Powerbeats Pro tick all those boxes. They’re completely sterile, too, as the actual earbud components aren’t recycled and have been tested to ensure they work the same — if not better — than a brand-new pair.

Don’t just take our word for it, though. Here’s what one customer who who purchased a refurbished pair had to say:

Got them for running, They don’t fall out of your ears, they cancel the wind noise very good. I am very happy with them! The color is awesome. Also the buttons are ambidextrous, so you can wear them single if needed. Great battery life as well.

If you’re after something a bit different, there are several other headphone deals available now, including the Apple AirPods with Charging Case for $129, Apple AirPods 2 with Wireless Charging Case for $169, Beats Solo 3 Wireless for $189, Bose SoundSport Free for $200, Bose QuietComfort 35 for $230, and Sennheiser Momentum for $230. However, we think that given the size of the discount Best Buy is offering on the Powerbeats Pro, they’re the way to go for anyone shopping for some true wireless earbuds.
