It’s 20% slimmer than the Video Doorbell 2, but the tradeoff for this more compact design is that it requires an existing doorbell wiring to operate. It also looks less like an intercom and will blend in nicely next to your front door.

When it comes to imaging capacities, the Pro model is a beast. Its Full HD 1080p camera has a 160 x 100-degree field of view which is enough to cover an entire entryway. Images look crisp even within 10 feet of the lens, whether it be for daytime or nighttime. When it detects activity, you’ll be able to receive notifications on your smartphone. There are settings available which let you select preferences for receiving push notifications for motion detection or when someone rings the doorbell. You can also set up motion zones, allowing the camera to ignore certain spots and focus on designated areas of the field of view.
