Amazon and Walmart discounts these Shark robot vacuums by up to $151

Unlike us humans, robot vacuums never complain, and they don’t mind cleaning all day. They ensure that we can come home and just sit back and relax instead of having to tidy things up. And since they’re no longer a new piece of technology (the first-ever robot vacuum was launched all the way back in 1996), they’ve been perfected (well, sort of) and you no longer have to spend a small fortune just to get one. We’ve scoured Amazon and Walmart and found a couple of robot vacuums that are on sale: The Shark Ion 750, and the Shark IQ R101AE. Save up to $151 when you get them today.

Shark Ion 750

– $229, was $349

The Shark Ion 750 sports a traditional round shape like other robot vacuums, which helps prevent it from getting stuck underneath furniture. It boasts dual spinning side brushes that pull in dirt and debris which gets gobbled up by a removable, self-cleaning brush roll. At the back is a detachable dust cup. This robot comes with a charging dock, cleaning tool, and Bot Boundary strips that you can place in areas you want it to stay away from.

It usually takes about three hours to fully charge, after which you can press the Clean button on top for it to start cleaning. There’s a Dock button right next to the Clean button to make the robot return to the charging dock, but the robot will automatically return if it’s about to lose power. Pressing the Spot button will make the robot clean a specific area more rigorously. All of these, plus setting up cleaning schedules, can be done remotely through the mobile app. You can also control the robot through voice command via Alexa and Google Assistant.

Equipped with proximity sensors, this robot is smart enough to assess its surroundings to avoid obstacles. The sensors allow it to make its way around cables and prevent it from smashing into walls, though it lacks the front-facing camera for visual mapping found in more expensive models. Thankfully, it has a spring-loaded, rubberized bumper on the front which lessens the impact so the robot, and your furniture, won’t sustain any serious damages. If it gets stuck, it will give off a cheerful chime and alert you to its location on the app so you can help it.

The Shark Ion 750 usually retails for $349, but you can get it on Walmart today for just $229 – that’s a whopping $120 off.

Shark IQ R101AE

— $449, was $600

The Shark IQ R101AE is the brand’s smartest robot vacuum yet. It comes with a self-emptying base and an anti-tangle brush roll system. Normally, this robot-vac retails for $600, but right now you can get it on Amazon for $449 – a huge $151 discount. To make the deal even sweeter, you can get an additional $50 off instantly upon approval for the Amazon Rewards Visa card, slicing the price to an enticing $399. Hurry because deals like this typically don’t last.

Instead of just roaming around in a pattern, the Shark IQ sweeps row by row to ensure it doesn’t miss a spot. Using a built-in front-facing camera, something missing in the Shark Ion 750, this robot vacuum boasts the best navigation system that Shark has to offer. What’s more, you have the power to create a floor plan of your home and tell the robot where to clean via room selection. Other robot vacuums are only capable of single room mapping. This makes the Shark IQ ideal for larger homes.

To control the robot, you can either use the buttons found on top, the Shark app, or voice command. Unlike the RV720, you can set this up with Alexa to set it off on its cleaning course. And when it’s about to run out of power, it will automatically return to its charging dock to do even more cleaning. It even knows where it last left off and will return to that spot.

When it comes to the actual cleaning, the Shark IQ’s suction is incredibly powerful for such a small device. It can easily pick up small and large debris, even stuck-on dirt from floors and carpets. This robot is also designed to tackle pet and human hair with ease thanks to its anti-tangle brush roll system. When it’s done cleaning, it’ll return to the charging dock and empty everything in the dust bin. It cleans itself via high-velocity air and with a large 30-day holding capacity, you don’t need to empty the vacuum base regularly.

The Shark Ion 750 and the Shark IQ R101AE are reliable robot vacuums that will take care of your floors while you take care of your family. The R101AE offers the ultimate convenience with its cutting-edge navigation system, self-emptying feature, and large-capacity vacuum base. Save up to $151 when you get them on Amazon today.

8 reasons the Tineco Floor One Stretch S6 should be your next vacuum
Tineco FLOOR ONE Stretch S6 180° Lay-Flat Design

Tineco is back with an innovative vacuum that offers many excellent features in the Floor One Stretch S6, with the main goal of providing ultimate convenience while you clean. For example, its 180-degree lay-flat design allows you to easily get into hard-to-reach places, such as under furniture, where you wouldn't normally be able to. That's because the vacuum compresses, unlike comparable models, which might be bulky or rigid. The 5.1-inch compact design also improves the nook-access offering a low-profile to begin with. But while these features are certainly helpful, they're not the only reason why you might want to get yourself a Floor One Stretch S6. I'd argue there are many more reasons, and I've laid them out simply for you below.

1. It cleans wet and dry messes

This shark self-emptying robot vacuum is $100 off for Memorial Day
A woman on a sofa controls the Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum with her smartphone.

Even though Memorial Day is probably the best time to get yourself some electronics, there are some great early Memorial Day deals that are worth snatching up. One great example is deals on excellent robot vacuums, like the Shark Matrix, which is also self-emptying. While it usually goes for a whopping $450, you can grab it now for just $350 from Amazon, which may still seem like a lot, but it's so packed with features that it's actually a steal at the lower price tag.

Why you should buy the Shark Matrix Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum
The name Matrix isn't just there to make it feel advanced and from the future, but instead describes how the Shark Matrix does its cleaning; rather than going back and forth in rows, it actually cleans along a grid. Combine that with the fact that it can go over pretty much any surface, and you get a robot vacuum that will go over a single spot multiple times, ensuring that it grabs any remaining spots of debris. It also uses 360-degree LiDAR to map your home so that it's not constantly bumping into things or causing issues; plus, this home mapping can be used for some of its smart home features, such as setting no-go zones.
