Seamless Co-op

Elden Ring uses a more advanced form of the summoning systems from the Dark Souls series, but still has limitations, most notably being partners being forced out of your game after every boss or death. The Seamless Co-op mod aims to make the entire game playable with a partner without any interruptions when players die, bosses are beaten, and no fog walls. It is still being worked on, but already works very well.

Unfortunately, FromSoftware locked the game’s frames per second (fps) regardless of how far your rig could theoretically push it. Unlock The Framerate cracks this lock and lets you set whatever fps you want to play at. The default setting is 300, but you can raise or lower it based on your performance and how much power you have.

Most people would say Elden Ring is a beautiful game, but not good-looking. The world, design, landscapes, and craftsmanship are all impeccable, but on a technical level, it is clearly behind even its contemporaries. Elden Reshade adds in HDR lighting effects to the base game that instantly bring it up to modern standards without killing your performance. It’s a simple mod that just lets you toggle effects and depth of field, but that’s all you really need.

This mod alters enemy physics and AI, gives armor, talismans, and weapons new effects, and adds three difficulty options: Normal, where enemies deal 50% more damage than the base game, Nightmare, where there are more enemies and bosses, plus you start with permanent debuffs, and Age of Stars. This final mode bundles everything from the prior two difficulties, plus keeps the world in perpetual night so elite enemies will always spawn.
