Activision is making sure that Call of Duty fans have plenty to keep them occupied with in the coming weeks for some reason. Following the announcement of several new customization options for Call of Duty: Ghosts, the publisher also announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II would be getting a handful of new customization options as well.
The new options are cosmetic, and are meant to add a bit of color and flair to the game – if not actual, playable benefits. The release includes four new sets, each of which contains weapon camo, three unique reticules, and a calling card.
According to descriptions from Activision, these new options are:
Weaponized 115: The Weaponized 115 Personalization Pack brings the power of Zombies to any Multiplayer match. Pack your weapons with an all-new Call of Duty: Black Ops II Origins-inspired camo, set of reticles, and undead animated calling card.
Octane: Accelerate your multiplayer action with the Octane Personalization Pack. Fuel every firefight with a speedway-inspired camouflage pattern, race-ready reticles, and an all-new animated calling card.
Dead Man’s Hand: Dominate any multiplayer shootout with the Dead Man’s Hand Personalization Pack. Look like a true gunslinger with a weapon camo covered in card suits, death-dealing reticles, and an all-new animated calling card.
Beast: Inspired by nature’s most lethal predators, the Beast Personalization Pack drapes every weapon in a coat of fierce camouflage, three uniquely-shaped reticles, and an all-new animated calling card.
They won’t help you get the draw on opponents, and a few of the more garish camos may actually make you stand out more, but fans of the game that are unwilling to abandon it for the newer, shinier Call of Duty will likely be happy to know Activision still loves them. As for the timing of the release, it may have something to do with another shooter due out from rival publisher Electronic Arts on March 11 that rhymes with “brighten small.” Just a guess though.
The new options are available in the in-game store now. Check out the trailer for more details.
