Throughout its history, developer Zen Studios and publisher Microsoft Studios have pushed downloadable content (DLC) for the game, keeping it fresh and adding new features and functionality along the way. Now, the newest DLC has been launched with the release of Bethesda Pinball for Xbox One, Windows 10, and Windows 10 Mobile.
The newest Pinball FX2 DLC adopts themes from popular Bethesda titles. First up is Fallout Pinball, which lets players make their way through a post-nuclear wasteland, raiding vaults, joining factions, and collecting bobbleheads along the way. Next is Doom Pinball, in which players take on hordes of demons and can earn the Doom Slayer moniker. Finally, the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Pinball table enables players to join nonplayer characters in using magic, crafting weapons, putting on armor, and completing quests on their way to becoming Dragonborn.
Each of the tables offers score tracking, social media integration, and leaderboards, providing extended gameplay options. Bethesda Pinball joins a number of other partnerships on Pinball FX2, including Plants vs. Zombies, Street Fighter II, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Zen Studios partnered with Valve in 2015 on Portal Pinball, and there’s even an outing with Telltale Games that brought The Walking Dead to Pinball FX2.
Bethesda Pinball is available now for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows PCs on Steam, and in the Windows Store, on the Mac, and also the PlayStation Network. The DLC will be available for mobile platforms on Thursday.
