How to free Brick in Cyberpunk 2077

There are a few key moments where your actions in Cyberpunk 2077 ripple throughout the game world and one of those moments shows up early. In first-act mission The Pickup, V and Jackie will meet the new Maelstrom gang leader, Royce. Royce will clue you in that Brick, the former gang leader who made a deal with Dexter DeShawn, is dead. He isn’t, however. Brick is actually locked up in the All Foods plant where this meeting takes place, and in this guide, we’re going to show you how to free Brick.

Half of the battle is actually finding Brick in The Pickup, but once you do, freeing him is straightforward. You don’t have to free Brick, but the optional objective will help you later on with the Second Conflict side quest.

How to find Brick in The Pickup

Image used with permission by copyright holder

You’ll find Brick during the main mission, The Pickup, but only if you go out of your way. The optional “free Brick” objective only comes up if you get close enough to an area where Brick is being held, so you’ll need to pay attention.

Progress in The Pickup until you’re at the All Foods building and sit through your meeting with Royce. Once things go south, you’ll have a level-spanning fight, and Brick’s cage is hidden amidst the chaos.

After you deal with the enemies in your meeting area, you’ll follow Jackie through a maintenance tunnel into a larger room. Deal with the few enemies here and press forward. The next room is smaller, with two raised rooms on the left side. Again, handle the enemies in this room and disable the cameras. That will give you some breathing room so that enemies from the next room don’t flood in as you’re trying to free Brick.

You can also just stealth your way through these rooms, but be mindful of what quick hacks you’re using. You’ll need some spare RAM later.

Between the two raised rooms is Brick’s cell. Walk by it, and you’ll hear Brick on the other side as well as get the optional objective to free Brick. Thankfully, finding Brick is the most difficult part of this objective.

Cyberpunk 2077 Brick: Room code or hacking

Image used with permission by copyright holder

Once you’ve found Brick, there are two ways to free him. The first is to simply scan the keypad outside the locked door and disable it for a few RAM. Even this early in the game, you will be able to disable the keypad with your hacking skills.

Alternatively, you can track down the Brick room code. In the elevated room to the right of Brick, you’ll find a closed laptop and a detonator. Ignore the detonator for now (we’ll get back to it shortly) and open the laptop. Select Messages and find the bottom one labeled, “Only you guys know.” Inside, you’ll find the code. The Brick room code is 9691.

Open the door however you wish, but don’t go running in the room just yet. Brick will point out the large laser pointed at the center of his chest. If he moves, he’ll die. If you’d rather kill Brick, head back to the room on the right, and interact with the detonator. We won’t judge. This is a role-playing game, after all.

Still, there’s more of an incentive to free Brick from his captivity, and it’s easy. Scan the laser and deactivate it, and you’re set. You can also deactivate the detonator in the raised room if you want. Brick will express his thanks, and you can respond that he owes you. Make sure you do so, as it will change a side quest that you can complete later.

The Second Conflict side quest

After you find Brick, you can either kill or free him, and both have rewards. If you scan Brick, you’ll see the NCPD has a bounty on him for 5,000 eddies. Although that’s not much later on, 5,000 eddies goes a long way in the first act.

If you free Brick, he’ll join you in the Second Conflict side quest later on. Similarly, Royce and Dum Dum will show up if you don’t kill them during The Pickup. Especially if you choose to let Royce and Dum Dum live, having Brick with you for the Second Conflict is essential. He’s better at dealing with Maelstrom members, and you’ll have more dialogue options.

The best developments to get first in Manor Lords
A town in a valley in Manor Lords.

It feels a little bit like cheating in Manor Lords, but the development upgrades you can get can do some powerful things to improve your settlement. However, to balance things out, the development points you need to unlock these enhancements are given out very sparingly. In fact, you won't get even close to the amount needed to unlock everything on the sphere grid. To make matters even more stressful, there's no way to undo a choice you make, so any point spent in error is locked in until you start a new game. There's none that can make your game harder, but if you pick one that offers no benefit to your current settlement or goals, it might as well be a negative in terms of the opportunity cost. For the best experience, here are the developments you should invest in first.
How to get development points
Before you can spend any development points in Manor Lords, you have to earn them. This is a slightly obfuscated system that you may not fully understand if you're not paying close attention, but it does make sense once you know what's going on. Development points are tied to you reaching new settlement levels. You can incrementally grow to a small village, a medium village, a large village, a small town, a medium town, and -- finally -- a large town. Each one requires a larger number of burgage plots and for you to upgrade more of them to higher levels. In any one settlement, you can earn six development points.
Best developments to get first

The development tree is broken down into four segments: farming, trade, gathering, and industry. Here are some of the best ones you can unlock early.
Heavy Plow
No settlement can survive only on hunting and foraging for food. Farming is the only way to make sure your storehouses are well stocked with food, but even a fully staffed farm is painfully slow to harvest. The Heavy Plow upgrade adds a plowing station to your farms so you can make use of an ox to not only make plowing your fields far faster, but also tospeed up transporting your crops to the storehouse.
Charcoal Burning
Preparing for winter is your primary concern for your first year, if not the first two, in Manor Lords. Lack of food is one thing, but if you run out of fuel to keep your population warm, they won't last long. Firewood is your basic form of fuel, but it is very inefficient. This development lets you build a charcoal kiln that gives you two charcoal for every one firewood you feed into it. That will double your potential fuel reserves in a snap.
Deep Mining
All natural resources will eventually run dry. While you can regrow trees and let berries regrow, ore deposits only have so much material for you to mine before they're tapped out. You can break the laws of nature with the Deep Mining development that lets you upgrade any mine into a deep mine that somehow never runs out of ore. This only works on the slightly rare rich deposits, but is still incredibly powerful to have an unending source of ore to build or sell.
Sheepbreeding
Speaking of getting an unending source of materials and money, Sheepbreeding makes something that you would expect to happen, but by default does not, actually occur. If you have a sheep farm, those sheep will be completely uninterested in mating and having more sheep babies. Snag this development to let nature take its course and get yourself an infinite supply of sheep for materials and to trade for quite a high price.
Better Deals
And while you're trading, unlock better deals to keep from getting ripped off. There's a tariff on anything you import in Manor Lords of 10 regional wealth, but this perk waives that annoying fee. Since you never quite know what resources you will have and what you will need to import to build your next structure or upgrade, importing is essential for reaching the late game. The earlier you invest in this, the more you'll save in the long run.

All Incantations and how to unlock them in Hades 2
Melinoe fighting under a full moon in Hades 2.

You can't have a game where you play as a witch without a massive cauldron. Hades 2 places one front and center in the Crossroads, but it isn't just there for decorative purposes. Melinoë can use this big boiling pot of green liquid to bring new features into the game, whether it be between runs or during them, in exchange for various materials like Silver. You will only start out with a few Incantations, but doing more runs and getting further toward your goal of killing Chronos will gradually unlock more to create. There are far more than you might expect for an early access game. Here are all the Incantations and their recipes.
Every Incantation, effect, and recipe
The order in which you unlock Incantations in the menu can vary based on what you do and how you progress in Hades 2, so this list is in no particular order. Also, it is possible there are more we haven't been able to unlock yet, so we will update this list if we discover any more or if additional ones are added during early access.

How to unlock all weapons in Hades 2
Hades 2 key art from its first trailer.

Hades 2's Melinoë is a very different main character from the first game's Zagreus in terms of personality and in how she fights. Being a witch, magic is core to her moveset, but she still wields all sorts of new weapons. You won't find the standard sword or spear here, as she starts off with just a witch's staff . You'll need to unlock the rest in traditional roguelike fashion. Each item requires you to gather up different materials, but most have some overlap so you will need to be selective about which one you craft first. We're still in the early access period, but for now, here are all the Nocturnal Arms in the game and how you can unlock them.
How to unlock every Nocturnal Arm
Ignoring the Witch's Staff, which you start with, there are four additional weapons to unlock.
Sister Blades
These fast, close-range melee daggers are the easiest to unlock and cost one Silver.
Umbral Flames
This is a medium-range weapon that prioritizes magic and fire attacks for three Silver and three Cinder.
Moonstone Axe
The heavy Moonstone Axe is your big, but slow damage dealer. It will cost you 15 Silver to pick up, so you will need to save up a bit.
Argent Skull
This si an explosive casting weapon that won't be available to unlock until you reach a certain point in the game that we won't spoil here. It will cost you two Glassrock and one Bronze to make.
