Fans Can Provide Talk Radio for GTA IV

Fans Can Provide Talk Radio for GTA IV

Rockstar is offering Grand Theft Auto fans a chance to make their own little impression on the next version of the game –  if they act quickly. A Web site has recently gone up that gives fans a call-in number to have their voice recorded for one of GTA’s fictional radio stations, WKTT.

Fans of the previous GTA games will recall that Rockstar’s spoofs of conservative talk radio often featured less-than-sane callers who called in and ranted about conspiracies, liberals and the state of America. That’s exactly what Rockstar is looking to fans to provide this time around. According to the WKTT site, callers should discuss what’s wrong with their health, what’s wrong with the world, what’s wrong with America, or what’s wrong with them.

Rockstar hasn’t announced when the contest will end or even linked to it from their GTA IV page, suggesting it may be a very limited opportunity. Although the nature of the call-in makes it fairly obvious what the recordings will be used for, interested callers should probably look over Rockstar’s disclaimer before pressing 1 to accept it and ranting away, since it gives Rockstar the full right to use and commercially exploit the recordings.

Basim perched on a ledge overlooking Baghdad

In a company interview with CEO Yves Guillemot posted on the Ubisoft website Thursday, the executive reveals that there are remakes of Assassin's Creed games in the works, although he doesn't specify which ones.

"There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

Surfaced patent shows what an Xbox streaming console would’ve looked like
An Xbox Series X sits next to both Series S models.

There have been a few Xbox devices that have never come to fruition, one of which was Keystone, a prototype for an affordable game streaming device you could hook up to your TV or monitor. Thanks to a surfaced patent, we've gotten an even closer look at what it would've potentially looked like.

The patent, first spotted by Windows Central, gives us a more complete view of the device. We've previously seen the Keystone in the flesh. Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer is known for hiding teases and interesting collectibles on the shelf in his office. In a 2022 X (formerly Twitter) post congratulating Bethesda on Fallout's 25th anniversary, you can see a small white device on the top shelf that's actually a Keystone prototype. Xbox told Digital Trends that it was a version of the device made before it decided to "refocus our efforts on a new approach.”
