In anticipation of Far Cry 4‘s November 18 launch, Ubisoft has released this extensive 101 trailer to get you psyched about what’s in store for you on the snowy peaks and verdant valleys of Kyrat. Rabi Ray Rana from Radio Free Kyrat walks you through the upcoming game’s story and gameplay features.

Far Cry 4 casts you as a wayward son of the game’s fictional Himalayan region of Kyrat, taken away from the troubled land as a baby by your mother. Now as an adult you return on a mission to disperse your mother’s ashes, only to become embroiled in a local civil war. The overarching focus of the action is taking down the regime of the brutal warlord Pagan Min, voiced by Troy Baker (The Last of Us, BioShock Infinite, Shadow of Mordor). This entails taking out his infrastructure: infiltrating his fortresses, taking control of his radio towers, and killing his lieutenants.

As you would expect from a Far Cry game, there’s a huge variety of tools and toys at your disposal. All manner of weapons and vehicles, as well as dangerous local wildlife like ridable elephants and bait-able tigers. If you need help, a friend can always jump in to control your comrade Herc, or you can hire local mercenaries in a pinch.

There are also skill trees that allow for further customization. The Path of the Elephant improves your durability for tanking right into the action, whereas the Path of the Tiger focuses on sneaky stealth kills. Hunting and gathering materials lets you craft better gear to support your chosen play style.

A range of side quests engage with the local characters in other ways, offering tasks that include hunting down ancient ruins and filming nature documentaries. The game also features trippy sections where you somehow travel into Kyrat’s mythical past, Shangri-La, and battle invading demons.

Far Cry 4 arrives on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on November 18, 2014.

Far Cry 6: How to find and open all Criptograma Chests
Two players ride horses in Far Cry 6.

While Far Cry 6 has been nearly universally deemed as "just more Far Cry," the fact is the series is still somewhat unique among other games. There are not many other titles out there that are both massive open-world games, overflowing with side missions, collectibles, activities, and treasures to hunt, and first-person shooters. For the most part, those two ingredients aren't blended all that often. That perspective shift can make exploring the lush landscape of Yara all the more enjoyable, and even push you toward wanting to hunt down all of its secrets. One of the most cryptic of collectibles on the island is the Criptograma Chests.

Criptograma Chests are very different from typical chests littered around the map in Far Cry 6. You won't be able to crack these crates open the moment you find them. All of the 15 Criptograma Chests require you to first find two Criptograma Charts to unlock them, meaning you will need to find a total of 30 charts to scoop up all 15 of the rewards. And you'll want these rewards, too, as these chests hold some of the strongest gear in the game. Plus, as is common for collectibles in an open-world game, if you open them all you can also get the That's Puzzling trophy or achievement. Finding the chests is one thing, but combined with the charts, this is a daunting treasure hunt.

The dictator Anton Castillo is determined to use his new cancer treatment to bolster his own power, despite promising to use it to rebuild the unstable country. It is a big island, however, with many obstacles in your path to Castillo, including soldiers as well as natural predators. It's a good thing your character Dani is more than skilled with various tools of destruction.

You'll be exposed to a lot of weapons during your time in Far Cry 6. The island is littered with them, though you won't find the best of the best just lying around. Plus, there are unique weapons in each category that have special buffs but are not able to be modded. Between the sheer number of guns, plus all the ways you can alter them with mods, and trying to figure out how to get what you want, this already packed game can be overwhelming. Far Cry 6: Where to find all USB Song Sticks
Far Cry 6 Political.

If there's one thing you can count on an open-world Ubisoft game to have, it's tons of collectibles. Ever since the early Assassin's Creed days, they've leaned more and more on filling their maps with knickknacks, trinkets, and sparkly objects to divert your attention from the main story. Far Cry 3 was the first in the series to really embrace that open-world design, and since then, they've only piled on more and more things to grab as their worlds continue to get larger. Far Cry 6 certainly follows that same formula, but one type of collectible, in particular, adds a bit of an extra incentive to finding them all aside from just checking it off a list of things to do.

USB Song Sticks are a new collectible in the Far Cry games. Unlike other collectibles, even ones in the same game, these actually have a use outside of just filling up your completion meter. The USB Song Sticks, of which there are a total of 15 laying around the region of Yara, all each hold a specific song that you can listen to once found. Once you've collected one, that song can be played whenever you want while driving or flying across the majestic landscape. If you want to load up the best tunes for your trip through Far Cry 6, check out where to find all the USB Song Sticks.
