Following the death of actor Paul Walker, Universal has announced that production on the film Fast & Furious 7 has been indefinitely postponed, according to USA Today.

The news comes as no real surprise following Walker’s death on November 30. The actor, who was propelled to fame thanks in part to his performance as officer-turned-outlaw Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious series, was killed when a car he was a passenger in lost control and crashed, killing both Walker and Roger Rodas, the driver.

Filming on Fast & Furious 7 began in September. Much of the principal photography has been completed, but Walker and several members of the cast were scheduled to head to Abu Dhabi in January to continue filming.

Walker has been a part of the franchise since starring with Vin Diesel in the original film back in 2001. Since then, Walker has appeared in six of the seven films in the series. While it seems likely that the film currently in production will continue, the fate of the franchise is far from certain. Diesel confirmed that the seventh film would be the first of a new trilogy, and a spin-off starring Dwayne Johnson as the character of Hobbs is supposedly in the works. Several of the actors signed multi-film contracts, and the studio also reportedly was hoping to release an eighth, ninth, and tenth installment, if not more.

Fast & Furious 7 was originally scheduled for release on July 11, 2014. Assuming production does start up again, it seems unlikely that the filmmakers would be able to make that date. Not only will this delay impact an already tight filming schedule, the filmmakers will still need to decide how to address the absence of the character O’Conner.

Update: The studio may scrap all work on the film and start over from scratch

What’s new in May 2024: 7 games that you need to play this month
Senua stares ahead wearing war paint.

On paper, May 2024 may look like a weak month for games. The biggest release of the month is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, a big Xbox exclusive and follow-up to a 2018 horror action game about a woman suffering from psychosis. But if you enjoy experimental indies, this month may just bring your favorite game of 2024 when all is said and done. Developer Team Ninja is being backed up on the indie front, as INDIKA, Animal Well, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, and Crow Country are all delivering spooky experiences five months ahead of Halloween.

Of course, those who aren’t fans of horror games also have things to look forward to this month, like the return of a GameCube classic and Warner Bros. crossover fighting game. As we head into May 2024, these are the games that you should be keeping on your radar, listed in chronological order.

How to unlock fast travel in Another Crab’s Treasure
Kril with a coconut shell

Another Crab's Treasure is a fantastical soulslike set deep under the ocean where danger lurks around every corner. And like other games in the genre, it's often brutally difficult to overcome the various challenges you'll encounter. As such, you may find yourself wanting to backtrack for level grinding, to uncover new secrets, or to buy additional items in the game's main hub. However, you may notice early in the game that you haven't yet unlocked the ability to fast travel between the multitude of Moon Snail Shells (aka "bonfires") you've found. Here's how and when you'll unlock fast travel.
How to unlock fast travel
In the opening hours of the game, you may notice that you can access your skill tree, which will show a skill called Shelleportation. But you may be discouraged to see that you aren't able to apply any points to it yet. That's because the game doesn't open up this feature until you've advanced a few hours into the story.

To unlock fast travel, you'll need to work your way through the first few main areas of the game until you reach a boss called the Polluted Platoon Pathfinder. After beating this baddie, you'll soon find yourself teleporting to the Moon Snail's Domain. Here, you'll learn about the power of Umami, as well as unlock access to your skill tree.
