How to find lightsabers in Fortnite

The latest Fortnite event is a massive Star Wars collaboration, and with it, comes a slew of new character skins, weapons, and quests. With it being a Star Wars collab, players can expect a new set of lightsabers to wield, which can be obtained during battle royale matches. But where can you find lightsabers and how do they work during the latest event? Here’s what you need to know about finding lightsabers in Fortnite.

Where to find lightsabers

Finding the various lightsabers is a little tricky since their locations are random for each match. To find them, you need to visit holograms of either Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, or Darth Maul around the map. All three appear during any given match, but their locations are random.

To find them, look out for a colored symbol that appears on your mini-map (either green, blue, or red). Each color corresponds to one of the given characters (more on that below). Once you find the hologram, interact with it, and you’ll obtain that character’s lightsaber, along with their abilities. You’ll have access to this lightsaber and the ability for the duration of the match.

Keep in mind, you’ll need to speak with one of these holograms in a subsequent match to gain access to the lightsaber and ability once more.

The three characters tied to the new Star Wars event in Fortnite have a color and special ability associated with each. Below are the characters, their colors, and their abilities:

Green: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Force push)
Blue: Anakin Skywalker (Force pull)
Red: Darth Maul (Force throw)

The aforementioned colors are also tied to the lightsabers, so keep that in mind as you scour for the holograms during any given match.

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.

One of the key features of vampires, at least in their original depiction, is their ability to take the form of a bat to quickly traverse the night. In V Rising, you technically can shapeshift but it won't make a big impact on your ability to travel. You have all the normal weaknesses of the mythical creature, such as aversion to sunlight and the need to suck blood in order to survive, but you must stick to normal methods of transportation most of the time. Getting on a horse certainly speeds up your traversal, but the map is quite large and sometimes you just want to get from one side to the other quickly.

Fast travel appears in V Rising in two different ways: Waygates and Cave Passages. Both of these have their own benefits, drawbacks, and ways to unlock them. However, as you grow in power, you will need to visit the far-reaching areas of the world much faster and much more often, making fast travel invaluable. You can't have a game where you play as a witch without a massive cauldron. Hades 2 places one front and center in the Crossroads, but it isn't just there for decorative purposes. Melinoë can use this big boiling pot of green liquid to bring new features into the game, whether it be between runs or during them, in exchange for various materials like Silver. You will only start out with a few Incantations, but doing more runs and getting further toward your goal of killing Chronos will gradually unlock more to create.
