Fortnite season 5 week 2 challenge guide: How to destroy dog houses

The fourth and final stage of the Doggo challenges in Fortnite season 5 week 2 is actually the easiest of the bunch. For the final stage, you’re required to destroy three dog houses, though, as you might expect, the challenge’s description doesn’t tell you how or where to find them.

Luckily, we’ve got all the details on how to initiate this challenge, where to find the dog houses, and how to destroy them. Remember, during season 5, the challenges are set up in stages, meaning you have prerequisites to complete first. To unlock this particular challenge, you must complete the first three stages. You have to destroy mailboxes, plant the evidence at certain locations, and find clues — all of which we’ve covered in their own separate guides. Once you’ve done the first three, you can start the final Doggo challenge. Here’s how to destroy dog houses in Fortnite.

To be frank, the setup of this challenge is more difficult than the challenge itself. It’ll take you some time to complete the first stages, but once you do, you’ll be ready to destroy some dog houses. The dog houses you need to destroy are found in the northeastern portion of Pleasant Park — surrounding the (human) house in this location. There are around five or six in the area, but to complete the challenge, you only need to destroy three. Check the image above for the location of the house.

As you land, take note of other opponents around you. Since this is a new challenge, the area will likely be heavily populated with players who are also looking to destroy dog houses. If you see a ton of players landing in the same location, you can still try your luck, but be aware that you’ll likely get taken out if you don’t pick up a weapon. In the video above, you can see the locations of five dog houses in the area. To destroy the dog houses, simply smack them with your pickaxe. A couple of slashes will do the trick.

As with most challenges, you don’t actually need to destroy all three in the same match. So if you do get taken out before you’ve completed the challenge, you can rest easy, as your progress carries over from match to match. After you’ve destroyed your third dog house, you’ll complete the challenge and earn 20,000 XP. And with that, you’ll be all finished with the Doggo challenges for this week. For the most part, they aren’t too difficult — it’s just a matter of knowing where to go.

Where to find Vendetta Flopper in Lego Fortnite
Characters fishing in LEGO Fortnite.

The fishing update to Lego Fortnite added, you guessed it, the ability to fish once you've made yourself a rod. Of course, since fish didn't exist in the game before this, an entire school of undersea life needed to be created. Every fish you can catch has a different benefit, from restoring a bunch of health when you eat it to giving you some kind of buff. The rarest and most useful fish is certainly the Vendetta Flopper, making it the most coveted catch in the game. While fishing is still heavily dependent on luck, you won't even have a chance at this fish unless you know where to cast your line.
Where to find the Vendetta Flopper

Before you even attempt to attempt this legendary catch, make sure you're ready with an Epic fishing rod and Epic Bait Bucket to give yourself the best chance at a rare catch. The nest step is to only cast into the glowing purple zones that indicate the presence of rare fish. Fishing in any other part of the water won't yield the Vendetta Flopper we're after.

All Charms and Trinkets in Lego Fortnite
A lego character holding a basket with a fruit.

Most things in Lego Fortnite are grounded in reality -- well, as much as they can be in a game where you are a little Lego man running around collecting resources and building entire villages by yourself. You slowly accumulate better gear as you craft new items and upgrade your existing facilities so you can venture further out and face tougher challenges.

There's some equipment that works a bit differently, namely your Trinkets and Charms. These little doodads can be crafted as you collect specific resources, they come in a range of rarities, and all of them give your character a specific buff that can be placed on your armor to add to your character. There's a lot of them out there to find and craft, so we've cataloged all the Charms and Trinkets in Lego Fortnite and what they do.

How to get Obsidian in Lego Fortnite
Lego characters mining a boulder.

Obsidian is almost as rare a resource in Lego Fortnite as it is in real life. This black, razor-sharp material can only be found in the most dangerous environments. That means knowing where to find it is only part of the trouble. The real test will be in preparing yourself to survive the trip. You'll also need the tools necessary to collect it. If you're ready to face the heat, here's how to get Obsidian in Lego Fortnite.
Where to find Obsidian

Obsidian is an ore, so if your first instinct was to look for Obsidian inside of caves, then you're on the right track. Unlike something like Marble, however, Obsidian isn't as common or in as easy to reach places. Obsidian will be found deep into caves near lava, but only caves found in a desert biome will have lava inside.
