Fortnite challenge guide: Place boomboxes in Believer Beach

Epic Games has introduced a new season of Fortnite, with an alien theme and plenty to do. For season 7, week 3, a new set of challenges is available for you to complete, but don’t expect to get through them as quickly as normal. This week’s challenges are a tad more complex than you might be used to, with many of them sending you to specific unmarked locations on the map. Luckily, they’re all manageable if you have a little assistance.

One specific challenge is to place boomboxes in Believer Beach. Since their locations don’t appear on the map, you might be unsure of where to go. In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to know about completing this challenge. Here’s how to place boomboxes in Believer Beach in Fortnite.

For this challenge, you need to place two boomboxes in Believer Beach. There are three possible locations for where to place them, and their spots can be found in the map above (thanks, Fortnite.gg). Oddly enough, there seems to be a bug with this challenge, as we were unable to get more than one to spawn per match. In other words, we tried to hit each location, but only one of them let us place a boombox there. We had to quit out and join a new match to place the next one, which was unexpected since Fortnite challenges typically let you complete objectives in any order.

Either way, there are a couple challenges tied to Believer Beach this week, so you’ll want to bring a team with you to watch your back as you attempt to complete this one. When we tried this challenge, there were multiple enemies that decided to land in the area along with us. We also recommend attempting to complete this challenge in Team Rumble so you can respawn if you’re eliminated early. Below are the specific locations for each boombox across Believer Beach.

The first one (and only one that would appear for us at first) is located on the northeastern side of Believer Beach, to the east of the large dock by some umbrellas.

After that, the next one is found to the west of the large dock, on the north side of the parking lot in this area. Look for the location by a table.

The final location is south of the previous, by the bus close to the trailer park. This one would not spawn for us in a match, but hopefully this bug gets fixed shortly.

Sea of Thieves alliances guide: how to join and benefits
Two ships fighting in Sea of Thieves.

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. Once you've gotten a handle on how to play the game, taking on voyages and attacking other players with fellow pirates is where the real fun begins. Alliances make it much easier to coordinate and team up with your fellow scallywags, but how you form them and all the benefits they can provide are somewhat obfuscated. It isn't as simple as joining a party through a menu like in other games, so follow our treasure map to learn all about how alliances work in Sea of Thieves.
How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.

Can you fix the Fortnite servers not responding error?
Nanner Ringer emote in Fortnite

The last thing you want to see when loading up Fortnite for a match with your friends, especially when a big new update is dropping, is to be hit with an error. The worst of which might be the "Fortnite servers not responding" error due to how vague it is. Most people don't know what servers are, let alone what it means when they aren't responding, except that you can't play your game. The question then becomes if you have any power to solve this issue yourself or if you're forced to wait until Epic Games addresses it on its end.
Can you fix the servers not responding error in Fortnite?

The first thing to do when encountering this error in Fortnite is to go straight to the Epic Games Help website or X account (formerly Twitter). This will let you know if it is something on Epic Games' end that is the issue and also keep you updated on the status of when the servers are expected to be fixed. Servers can also be taken down for maintenance or in preparation for major updates, which will also be accounted for here. If this is the case, there's nothing to do but wait until they announce the servers are back up and running.

How many skins are in Fortnite?
Fortnite characters by a car.

With each new Fortnite season comes a slew of new cosmetics to earn through the Battle Pass or to purchase in the item shop. With the game being out for nearly six years, the number of skins in the game has grown to absurd levels. No longer will you run into a match of solo players wearing similar skins. Between regular releases of skins and special event skins involving IPs like Star Wars, Street Fighter, Marvel, and more, every player has a very unique locker full of cosmetics to bust out in a given match.

These days, it's almost more likely you'll run into a skin you've never seen before than a player using the same one as you!
