Fortnite challenge guide: Launch toilets with a Grab-itron

The latest set of challenges for Fortnite season 7 is here, this time for week 9. The season is almost over, but we’ve got a little more to do before it wraps up. This week, you’re required to launch toilets with a Grab-itron, which is a weapon that — you guessed it — allows you to grab and launch items around the world. This challenge is actually a bit of a pain, not because it’s hard, but because it can take a while to get a Grab-itron to spawn.

In this guide, we’ll show you everything you’ll need to know about completing this challenge. Here’s how to launch toilets with a Grab-itron in Fortnite.

First, you’ll want to get your hands on the Grab-itron, which is a purple device that can be used to launch items found throughout the map. The problem is, finding this weapon can be tough since it doesn’t seem to spawn too often. Ideally, you should land in an area with lots of buildings such as Lazy Lake or Steamy Stacks. These areas are home to many chests, which contain the device you’re looking for. In fact, we advise going toward a place with toilets, which are usually found inside buildings at the aforementioned locations (this way, you won’t have to travel far once you do get the Grab-itron).

Once you land, you should make it a priority to loot as much as possible, opening up every chest you can find. With a little luck, you’ll stumble upon the Grab-itron, but if you’re like us, it might take you a little while to find it. Make sure you have Visualize Sound Effects turned on so you can easily pinpoint the locations of chests. Keep looting and make sure you take out nearby opponents, as they might drop a Grab-itron if they had one on hand.

As always, we advise bringing a squad along with you to help you find the weapon and so they can watch your back as you look around.

Once you’ve gotten your hands on it, all you have to do is launch two toilets. They don’t need to be in the same match, though we’d recommend getting this challenge done ASAP since finding the Grab-itron is so tricky. When we completed the challenge on our end, we landed at Steamy Stacks, which is a great spot that’s often less busy than others. Here, there are multiple bathrooms with toilets, so assuming you’ve found a Grab-itron, you should have no trouble launching two before the end of the match.

Otherwise, you’ll need to head to the next building with a bathroom to find another toilet to launch. After you launch two, you’ll gain credit for completing the challenge.

Sea of Thieves alliances guide: how to join and benefits
Two ships fighting in Sea of Thieves.

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. Once you've gotten a handle on how to play the game, taking on voyages and attacking other players with fellow pirates is where the real fun begins. Alliances make it much easier to coordinate and team up with your fellow scallywags, but how you form them and all the benefits they can provide are somewhat obfuscated. It isn't as simple as joining a party through a menu like in other games, so follow our treasure map to learn all about how alliances work in Sea of Thieves.
How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.

Can you fix the Fortnite servers not responding error?
Nanner Ringer emote in Fortnite

The last thing you want to see when loading up Fortnite for a match with your friends, especially when a big new update is dropping, is to be hit with an error. The worst of which might be the "Fortnite servers not responding" error due to how vague it is. Most people don't know what servers are, let alone what it means when they aren't responding, except that you can't play your game. The question then becomes if you have any power to solve this issue yourself or if you're forced to wait until Epic Games addresses it on its end.
Can you fix the servers not responding error in Fortnite?

The first thing to do when encountering this error in Fortnite is to go straight to the Epic Games Help website or X account (formerly Twitter). This will let you know if it is something on Epic Games' end that is the issue and also keep you updated on the status of when the servers are expected to be fixed. Servers can also be taken down for maintenance or in preparation for major updates, which will also be accounted for here. If this is the case, there's nothing to do but wait until they announce the servers are back up and running.

How many skins are in Fortnite?
Fortnite characters by a car.

With each new Fortnite season comes a slew of new cosmetics to earn through the Battle Pass or to purchase in the item shop. With the game being out for nearly six years, the number of skins in the game has grown to absurd levels. No longer will you run into a match of solo players wearing similar skins. Between regular releases of skins and special event skins involving IPs like Star Wars, Street Fighter, Marvel, and more, every player has a very unique locker full of cosmetics to bust out in a given match.

These days, it's almost more likely you'll run into a skin you've never seen before than a player using the same one as you!
