How to complete all the Fortnite 14 Days of Summer challenges

Epic Games is kicking off the seasonal festivities by hosting the Fortnite 14 Days of Summer event. For three weeks only, players have the chance to test out a new Limited Time Modes and see the return of fan-favorite weapons. Beginning on Tuesday, June 25 and lasting for only three weeks, players will have the opportunity to complete 14 unique challenges and earn some cool rewards.

A new challenge will be released each day for two weeks. After that, players will have one more week to wrap up any remaining challenges that they haven’t completed.  Completing these challenges will reward players with epic items that are based around the summer season. There are new emotes, loading screens, music, and more to collect while this event is going on.

Since there are only three weeks to complete these challenges, players will need to act fast to get every item. Completing all 14 challenges will net you the exclusive Banana Smoothie cosmetic.

Reward: Grill Banner Item

The 14th challenge in the event is to destroy seven grills with the Low n’ Slow pickaxe. To get the pickaxe, you will need to complete the fireworks challenge below. Make sure to equip the pickaxe in your locker and then enter a match. You can find grills in areas where you would normally expect to find them, like at cabins and by campfires.

Some of the best locations for finding grills are at Paradise Palms, Mega Mall, and Snobby Shores. Each location has multiple grills to destroy. Simply find one as seen above and destroy it with the pickaxe.

13. Search the hidden seashell in the beach themed loading screen

Reward: Glitter Music Pack

There is a hidden seashell that you need to search for that can be found on the beach themed loading screen. To get the beach themed loading screen, you must complete the very first challenge of the 14 Days of Summer Fortnite event which tasks you with visiting six beach parties. According to YouTuber DG BossGaming, you can find the hidden seashell from the loading screen near Paradise Palms.

You can find it in the southwest of Paradise Palms in the bottom corner of the H9 and I9 squares on the grid map. Here, you will find a little bit of water, a bathtub, and a palm tree. Approach the palm tree and search it to complete this challenge.

12. Visit the giant beach umbrella and a huge rubber ducky in a single match

Reward: Rubber Ducky Item

This is one of those challenges where you need to head to multiple locations within the same match. First, visit the giant beach umbrella that is on the mountain southwest of Salty Springs. Next, follow the main river next to the mountain and south to Lucky Landing. On the river, you’ll find a huge rubber ducky floating. Get close enough to it and you’ll complete the challenge.

11. Get a score of 10 or more on a Carnival Clown Board challenge

Reward: Beach Balls Trail Cosmetic

This challenge features a little minigame that’s similar to the shooting galleries we’ve covered in the past. You can find the carnival clown boards at any of the beach parties on the map. Here are the locations:

  • Northwest of Lazy Lagoon, on the beach of the northernmost central point of the map in the F2 square on the grid map
  • Southeast of Dusty Divot, in the southeastern corner of the Dusty Divot crater in the G6 square
  • Northwest of Loot Lake, in the northwestern end of Loot Lake in the D4 square
  • Southeast of Neo Tilted, next to the river in the E6 square
  • Northwest of Paradise Palms, at a small pond near the desert and grassy plains border in the H8 square
  • Southwest of Paradise Palms, at the large pond at the end of the river in H9 square, east of Fatal Fields

Head to one of the beach parties and find the carnival clown board. Hold down the button required to start the minigame and balloons will start to appear on the board. You need to pop them. We recommend using your pickaxe to hit them. Do this 10 times in a row without stopping and you will complete the challenge. This will net you the beach balls trail cosmetic.

10. Launch fireworks found along the river bank

Reward: Low n’ Slow Pickaxe

For this challenge, you need to find three sets of fireworks along the river and launch them. You can find these along the main river that goes from Lazy Lagoon in the north to Lucky Landing in the south. There are six of these fireworks in total along the edge of the river. The locations for the fireworks are:

  • North of Lazy Lagoon
  • South of Lazy Lagoon at the mouth of the river
  • East of Loot Lake
  • East of Neo Tilted
  • Southeast of Neo Tilted
  • Northwest of Lucky Landing

Approach the fireworks and use the required button to launch them. Do this to three sets of fireworks and you’ll complete this challenge. The reward for this is the Low n’ Slow pickaxe, which you will need for the final challenge.

9. Score trick points with a Driftboard with the Neon Tropics applied to it

Reward: Surfboard Summer Days Spray

This is a very specific challenge that requires you to get 250,000 trick points using the Driftboard while it has the Neon Tropics wrap equipped. To get the Neon Tropics wrap, you need to complete the eighth challenge of the 14 Days of Summer event which has you search unicorn floaties. You will then need to go into the locker in the main lobby and equip the wrap there.

Once you’ve equipped the Neon Tropics wrap, enter a match and find yourself a Driftboard. You can find a ton of them in the snowy southwestern quadrant at places like Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, and Polar Peak. Your best bet for getting a lot of points is jumping around on the Driftboard and doing tricks or heading to a high place and jumping off to do some tricks.

You can take as long as you need, even going into multiple matches to earn the 250,000 points.

8. Bounce off of a giant beach umbrella in different matches

Reward: Rubber Ducky Token

For this challenge, you need to find a giant beach umbrella and bounce off of it in three consecutive matches. You can find three locations for the giant beach umbrellas below:

  • Northeast of Lazy Lagoon, in the bottom left corner of the G2 square on the grid map
  • Lonely Lodge, on the western side in the I5 square
  • Dusty Divot, west of the Dusty Divot crater in the F5 square

The beach umbrellas are huge so you will need to either land on top of or build up to them so you can bounce on them. Do this once per match for three matches and you will complete the challenge.

7. Hit a player with a water balloon in different matches

Reward: Water Balloon Loading Screen

To do this challenge, you will need to complete eliminations with the daily unvaulted weapon or drumgun, which is the third task in the Fortnite 14 Days of Summer event. This will earn you the water balloon toy required for this challenge. This can be done against teammates or enemies, although we recommend the former.

Go into your locker, equip the water balloon toy, then head into a match where you have teammates. You will need to go up to them, pull up the emotes, and choose the water balloon. Next, throw it at the person and make sure it connects with them. Do this to one player in three different matches and you will complete this challenge.

6. Search unicorn floaties at swimming holes

Reward: Neon Tropics Wrap

You might notice that there are some unicorn floaties in the water in certain areas of the map. You’ll need to search a total of three unicorn floaties at swimming holes to complete this challenge. There are many different locations to find the floaties around the island but we suggest these three since they are super close to one another and can be visited in the same match:

  • Hot springs: Northeast of the unnamed hot springs in the H2 square on the grid map
  • Lazy Lagoon: West of the town of Lazy Lagoon in the F3 square by the boat
  • Loot Lake: Northeast of Loot Lake on the border of the E3 and E4 squares

When you find the floaty, simply hold down the required button to search it. Do this three times in total and you will finish this task.

5. Pop party balloon decorations

Reward: Summer Days Spray

For this challenge, you need to pop five party balloon decorations, which can certainly be done in a single match. To find some party balloons, you have to go to one of the six beach parties on the map. You can find those locations below:

Head to any of those beach parties and find some of the party balloon decorations as seen above. You can pop them by shooting them or hitting them up close with your pickaxe. Do this five times in total and you will finish this challenge.

4. Thank the Bus Driver and finish top 20 in different matches

Reward: Summer Days Emoji

This challenge requires you to thank the bus driver during a match and then complete the match in the top 20 five times. Both of these objectives have to be done in the same match AND you have to do it in five different matches. When you enter the match and you are in the battle bus, press down on the D-Pad on your controller or press “B” on PC. Mobile users just need to press the icon that appears.

Then, you need to survive until the top 20. For this, simply do whatever you normally do if you are a confident player. If you’re not all that confident in your ability to survive, we recommend heading to an unpopular location like Snobby Shores or Sunny Steps, stocking up, and then hiding from the enemies. Keep moving to the circle as you need to and you’ll be in the top 20 in no time.

3. Eliminations with the daily unvaulted weapon or Drumgun

Reward: Water Balloon Toy Item

This challenge is one of the simpler ones. Each day during the Fortnite 14 Days of Summer event, Epic is not only adding new Limited Time Modes but bringing back one unvaulted weapon for 24 hours. With this challenge, you must either use one of those unvaulted weapons or the Drum Gun (which was once vaulted) to get five kills in total.

Note that you don’t have to get all five kills in the same match and it can be completed with a mix of the Drum Gun and the other unvaulted weapons so feel free to use whichever one you’d like to get the five eliminations.

2. Bounce a giant beach ball in different matches

Reward: Summer Days Loading Screen

This challenge requires you to bounce a giant beach ball in five different matches. It’s a rather easy challenge but one that will require some time on your part since it takes at least five matches to complete it. In order to bounce the beach balls, you must actually find them first. Here are the locations of the giant beach balls we’ve found so far:

  • Northwest of Paradise Palms, on the border of the H7 and I7 squares on the grid map
  • Southwest of the crater in Dusty Divot, underneath the floating platform in the F6 square
  • North of Loot Lake and east of Pleasant Park, on the border of the D3 and E3 squares

Once you have found one of the giant beach balls, the best way that you can make it bounce is to pull out your pickaxe and hit it. This should cause it to launch into the air and bounce. Do this once per match for five matches in total and you will complete this challenge.

1. Dance at different beach parties

Reward: Swim Dance Emote

The first challenge dropped by Epic Games requires you to visit six different beach parties and dance at them. These are new locations that were added to the map. You’ll know you’re at a beach party when you see a bunch of lounge chairs, some beach umbrellas, a food truck, and decorations all around the area. There are six beach parties confirmed on the map.

You have to visit all six of them and dance there to complete this challenge. Thankfully, you don’t have to do all of them in one match so you can complete it in multiple matches if necessary. When you get to one of the six beach parties, all you need to do is do your favorite dance emote and look for the notification of completion in the top left corner of your screen.

Here are the six beach party locations:

How to unlock all weapons in Hades 2
Hades 2 key art from its first trailer.

Hades 2's Melinoë is a very different main character from the first game's Zagreus in terms of personality and in how she fights. Being a witch, magic is core to her moveset, but she still wields all sorts of new weapons. You won't find the standard sword or spear here, as she starts off with just a witch's staff . You'll need to unlock the rest in traditional roguelike fashion. Each item requires you to gather up different materials, but most have some overlap so you will need to be selective about which one you craft first. We're still in the early access period, but for now, here are all the Nocturnal Arms in the game and how you can unlock them.
How to unlock every Nocturnal Arm
Ignoring the Witch's Staff, which you start with, there are four additional weapons to unlock.
Sister Blades
These fast, close-range melee daggers are the easiest to unlock and cost one Silver.
Umbral Flames
This is a medium-range weapon that prioritizes magic and fire attacks for three Silver and three Cinder.
Moonstone Axe
The heavy Moonstone Axe is your big, but slow damage dealer. It will cost you 15 Silver to pick up, so you will need to save up a bit.
Argent Skull
This si an explosive casting weapon that won't be available to unlock until you reach a certain point in the game that we won't spoil here. It will cost you two Glassrock and one Bronze to make.

Can you fix the Fortnite servers not responding error?
Nanner Ringer emote in Fortnite

The last thing you want to see when loading up Fortnite for a match with your friends, especially when a big new update is dropping, is to be hit with an error. The worst of which might be the "Fortnite servers not responding" error due to how vague it is. Most people don't know what servers are, let alone what it means when they aren't responding, except that you can't play your game. The question then becomes if you have any power to solve this issue yourself or if you're forced to wait until Epic Games addresses it on its end.
Can you fix the servers not responding error in Fortnite?

The first thing to do when encountering this error in Fortnite is to go straight to the Epic Games Help website or X account (formerly Twitter). This will let you know if it is something on Epic Games' end that is the issue and also keep you updated on the status of when the servers are expected to be fixed. Servers can also be taken down for maintenance or in preparation for major updates, which will also be accounted for here. If this is the case, there's nothing to do but wait until they announce the servers are back up and running.

How to hack in Fallout 4
A computer terminal in Fallout 4.

No matter what perks or skills your character has in Fallout 4, hacking will always come down to your ability as a player. There's no way to cheat the system here, and if you don't grasp what the game is asking you to do, you're mostly out of luck. Terminals will hide great loot behind their cryptic puzzles, as well as allow you to take over certain controls to turn your enemy's security against them. Some have very interesting logs about certain characters or events for all you lore junkies out there. Hacking has tons of uses, so let's brush up on your computer skills and give you a refresher on how to hack in Fallout 4.
How to hack in Fallout 4
When you first interact with a terminal to hack in Fallout 4, it will be a little overwhelming. As long as you have a high enough hacking skill to attempt a hack, you can go right into the minigame.

The basic idea of hacking is to find words hidden in that jumble of letters and symbols. Your goal is to find the correct word to crack the terminal before you run out of attempts. Once you find any word and select it, the terminal will tell you how close that word is to the correct one based on how many letters it has in the same space as the answer in the form of a likeness rating. The higher the rating, the more letters it has in common. It is somewhat similar to Wordle, only you don't type in the words yourself.
