Reinstalling digital games

Reinstalling games you bought digitally is also quite simple.

Step 1: Select Library and pan down until you find Purchased on the home screen. If you’d like to search for specific PlayStation Plus games, you can click on the yellow plus sign under the Purchased icon.

Deleting and reinstalling disc-based games

If you’re playing using a disc-based game, you can manually remove the data.

Step 1: In order to do this, just search for the game in your library, click on it, and then scroll down until you see the Delete icon on the right side.

Step 2: Click on it and delete the game.

Step 3: You must always remove the game disc before deleting it from your console.

Step 4: If you’re ever ready to play that game again, all you have to do is reinsert the disc and reinstall it to your console.

3 new PS Plus games that you should play this weekend (December 20-22)
Frey in Square Enix's Forspoken.

The latest batch of new PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game catalog additions was released this week. As a result, PS Plus subscribers have a ton of new options when it comes to what to play as we approach what is many people's holiday break. Games from this most recent batch are what I'm recommending people check out this weekend. One of the titles is technically a Christmas game, so it's fitting to play this time of year, while my other recommendations are good options if you're looking for something to play with others.
Forspoken
Forspoken - Official Launch Trailer

Square Enix's Forspoken is a high-profile action RPG console exclusive that was released on PlayStation 5 in 2023. While its quip-heavy dialogue definitely isn't for everyone, the way it incorporates the player's magical abilities into combat and traversal is truly exhilarating. Dashing through large fields, surfing on top of water, and launching bullet-like streams of rocks at enemies is immensely satisfying. Forspoken's Isekai adventure technically begins with the main character, Frey, being whisked away from New York City around Christmas. That technically makes this a Christmas game, giving you all the more reason to check it out this weekend.

How to use Discord on PS5
Discord gaming key art.

As it was the go-to voice and text-chat platform for gamers the world over, it was rather surprising how long it took Sony to add Discord integration for the PlayStation 5. Initially, there wasn't a native Discord app you could use on the console; however, an update made it far easier to chat with friends straight from your console while you're playing the best PS5 games.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is more like Dead Space’s remake than Resident Evil 4’s
Frank talks to Jessica in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

Don't let Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster's name fool you; this is essentially a full-on remake of Capcom's classic zombie game. While the narrative and core gameplay loop are the same, Dead Rising has seen a complete visual overhaul, as well as a few gameplay tweaks to make it more enjoyable to play. It's the same great game you remember, but it now just feels like something that could be released in 2024 rather than 2006. After going hands-on with Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, it's clear that this game is less like the remake treatment Capcom gave Resident Evil 4 last year and more like the one EA gave Dead Space. It's an extremely faithful modern upgrade for a horror classic that still holds up today.
