Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale games on the market. Players can join in on the fun from their console, Android device, or even home computer. However, there's only one official way to play Fortnite on your PC -- and that's through the Epic Games Store. The good news is that getting everything set up to run Fortnite is a breeze. All you need to do is create an Epic Games account, download the Epic Games Store client, and install Fortnite. Here's a detailed walkthrough on how it all works.

Create an Epic Games account

The first thing you’ll want to do is create your personal Epic Games account. This is a completely free process, and you’ll be walked through every step by on-screen instructions — and even have the chance to link Fortnite accounts from other systems. To get started, follow these steps:

Step 1: Head over to the official Fortnite webpage.

Step 2: Click on the Sign In button at the top-right of the screen.

Step 3: Follow the simple instructions until you’ve got your own username and password.

Download the Epic Games Store client

Now that you’ve created an account, move to the Download section of the Fortnite webpage. It’s located right next to the sign-in button from the previous step, but you can also start your download from this Fortnite link. As usual, follow the on-screen prompts to install the Epic Games Store client on your system. If you’re going to be using it frequently, it’s worth setting up a desktop shortcut.

Install Fortnite

Step 1: After the client is finished installing, load up the Epic Games Store and log in with your brand new account.

Step 2: From the Home screen, head to the Store tab found on the left-hand side of the page. This will allow you access to a search bar. Type the word 8Fortnite* into the search bar, and it should take you to the game’s listing on the marketplace.

Step 3: Now, you should be able to add it to your library and begin the installation process. If, for some reason, the download pauses (maybe due to a weak or lacking connection), you always have the option to return to the Library menu and try restarting the process again.

Run Fortnite

Downloading the game may take an extended amount of time, as the current file size comes in a little bit above 80GB.

Step 1: After the installation process has ended, go to your library.

Step 2: You can use the same menu on the left side of the page. Once you’re there, click the Fortnite symbol.

Step 3: Doing so will initiate the game. Now, you’re ready to start playing.

Adjust your settings

The first thing you need to do before you join a game is to change all your settings. You can adjust numerous things, such as the mouse sensitivity level, the graphics quality, and key binds.

Step 1: When you’re on the main menu, go to Settings and visit all of the submenus, making adjustments along the way.

Step 2: After you’ve made all your modifications and everything is the way you like it, go back to the main menu.

Step 3: From here, you can select your game mode and dive into the action.

How to get Ancient Seeds in Stardew Valley
A farm with crops in Stardew Valley on Android.

There are a lot of rare and hidden items in Stardew Valley, but one of the hardest to track down is the Ancient Seed. As the name would indicate, these seeds are needed to grow Ancient Fruit. This is part of a couple of bundles in the museum, can be used as a dye, and is a good gift for several villagers. Needless to say, this seed is quite valuable, but you won't find it on the shelves of Pierre's shop or the JojaMart. Getting your hands on Ancient Seeds is a little tricky, but we have a couple of methods you can use.
How to get Ancient Seeds
There are a few ways you can collect Ancient Seeds, but some are better than others.

The lowest chance to get Ancient Seeds is to put crops into the Seed Maker. This will give you a 0.5% chance that the seed you get out of it will be an Ancient Seed.

MSI Claw A1M is one hell of a gaming PC with best-in-class power, cooling, more
MSI Claw A1M being used to play racing game

Handheld or portable gaming is seeing a huge boon in innovation thanks to ultra-portable PCs from various manufacturers. I won't bother naming them all here, but the market has grown quite competitive. That's why MSI and Intel have teamed up to produce and optimize the MSI Claw A1M. The Claw is effectively a portable PC powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor, Intel Arc graphics, and Windows 11 Home. But what's more exciting is that it's equipped with many premium upgrades to improve gaming experiences vastly. For example, the ergonomically tailored hand grips feel more comfortable, especially during long sessions, and the 53-watt-hour battery supports longer playing times. High-performance Hall Effect joysticks offer unmatched precision and control with MSI Mystic Light for customizable RGB. Meanwhile, the intelligently designed cooling system called Cooler Boost HyperFlow optimizes airflow to keep it running at full speed without affecting performance.

If that were everything, I'd be happy with it, but there's so much more. The 120Hz 7-inch display supports VRR or variable refresh rate to keep onscreen action smooth and responsive. Two 2-watt high-resolution speakers provide immersive, crystal-clear audio. It's WiFi 7-ready, with a Thunderbolt 4 port for high-speed charging, and like alternatives on the market, it can be docked and used like a traditional desktop PC. Above all, MSI, Intel, and Microsoft are committed to providing best-in-class support through regular updates while collecting end-user feedback, with quick reactions when necessary. This means that the Claw A1M is a labor of love, and they're genuinely looking to work with the community to optimize the experience.

Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed remakes are in the works
Basim perched on a ledge overlooking Baghdad

In a company interview with CEO Yves Guillemot posted on the Ubisoft website Thursday, the executive reveals that there are remakes of Assassin's Creed games in the works, although he doesn't specify which ones.

"Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernize them," he says, implying that it could pertain to games made before Odyssey. "There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."
