How to unlock Mel T and The Baristador in Foamstars

Loading into Foamstars, you probably know what to expect in terms of progression. Being a multiplayer-only game, you can count on live-service elements being in play; however, every game handles them differently. Yes, we do have both a free and paid battle pass here with tons of cosmetics, but what about more impactful things like characters? At launch, your roster will only have eight options, but two are locked: Mel T and The Baristador. Considering how each character plays differently, getting the entire range of options will help you decide which one you want to focus on. These two have different requirements to unlock, and one of them may not be to your liking.

How to unlock Mel T and The Baristador

Starting with The Baristador, all you need to do to unlock him is beat the challenge that asks you to hit Player Level 3. This is done by playing Missions alone or with friends or competing in the standard versus matches. Your current level is displayed on your Player Card if you’re unsure how far off you are.

Mel T is a different story. As of now, she can only be added to the roster by purchasing the Starry Pop Premium Pass, which is the paid battle pass. Mel T is unlocked as a tier 1 reward, meaning you get her as soon as you buy the pass. This pass will cost you $6 right now and runs through March 9. After this date, it is unclear how Mel T will be available, though she will likely be an individual purchase.

There are ways in which you could play as a solo pirate in Sea of Thieves, but adventuring is so much more fun and rewarding when you're part of a crew. Alliances make it much easier to coordinate and team up with your fellow scallywags, but how you form them and all the benefits they can provide are somewhat obfuscated. How to join or start an alliance

Alliances aren't made in menus, but require you to do some work in-game. Just like real pirates, alliances are determined by what flag you're flying. When you're sailing near a ship you want to partner up with, climb up your crow's nest and interact with the flag box. Go to the Alliances tab and choose the Offer Alliance flag. If the other ship is also flying that flag, you can then change your flag to the Join Alliance flag to fully form the alliance. There is no limit on how many ships can be in an alliance at once in one game.

Unless you're a lefty, you may not notice that every shooter, including Counter-Strike 2, always has you playing as a right-handed character. While it may not seem like a big deal, it just feels awkward for people who primarily use their left hands to get used to seeing games that way, especially when previous versions of this game allowed you to play as a southpaw. And, if you're playing at the highest level, swapping hands can make peaking corners much easier. While it was missing for almost the first year of the game, Counter -trike 2 has finally allowed players to swap hands and play however is more natural and comfortable for them. If you want to set your character to always play either left- or right-handed, the best way is to set your preferred handedness in the settings. Open up your settings and go into Game > Item and scroll down to the Preferred Viewmodel Left/Right Handedness option. The drop-down menu will let you choose between right and left so you will always default to that view.

There's no denying that Counter-Strike 2 is one of the most hardcore and competitive FPS games on PC. One wrong move in this game can force you to wait out the rest of the round and leave your team a player down.

With such a long history and dedicated playerbase, the skill ceiling is intimidatingly high and you may not be able to keep up with those you're matched up against. Bot matches give you a chance to practice your skills and strategies in a less-stressful environment, though the challenge they provide may not be exactly right for you.
