Japan gets official Uncharted 3 control pad

The November release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is fast approaching, and it’s become clear that the developers of the hit game franchise are going all-out when it comes to tie-ins for the third installment of Nathan Drake’s globe-trotting adventures.

Over at Kotaku, they have an early peek at the limited-edition Uncharted 3 control pad that will hit shelves in Japan on November 2, the same day the game is released there.

Sporting a khaki color scheme, “map” designs, and an image of Sir Francis Drake’s ring, the DualShock 3 pad, it looks like exactly the sort of controller Nathan Drake would use… if he ever decided to stop hunting for priceless relics and play some video games instead. (Okay, maybe not — but you get the idea.)

It’s worth noting that there’s no indication whether the control pad has any protection against sand, water, impact, or lost tribes of angry warriors intent on protecting their treasures from snarky adventurers — so keep that in mind.

While there’s currently no release date for the control pad in the U.S., there’s a good chance it will find its way to Western shelves around the same time.

Will Payday 3 get an offline mode?
Character posing for Payday 3 promo art.

It's no secret to anyone who attempted to play Payday 3 near its launch that it had more than a few issues. This co-op shooter is built on the idea of you and three friends teaming up to pull off various heists to collect money, level up, and unlock new skills -- and then repeat it all on higher difficulty levels. However, due to some major server issues, the majority of people haven't been able to find matches at all, leading to a major outcry for an offline mode since there's no way to interact with the game otherwise. As of now, the game remains an always-online experience. Fortunately, developer Starbreeze Studios has been quick to respond to player feedback, but do its plans include an offline mode?
Is Payday 3 getting an offline mode?

At a developer live stream on September 25, Almir Listo, global brand director for Starbreeze, said there are currently no plans to create an offline mode for Payday 3. Listo further explained the server issues that had been occurring so far, stating that "Payday 3 matchmaking infrastructure has not performed as tested and expected. Matchmaking software encountered an unforeseen error which made it unable to handle the massive influx of players. The issue caused an unrecoverable situation for Starbreeze's matchmaking partners." The team is evaluating all solutions in both the short and long term, including seeking out new matchmaking partners.

How to get Soul Coins in Baldur’s Gate 3
Karlach holding a soul coin.

One of the more rare items you can find in Baldur's Gate 3 is the mysterious Soul Coins. If you're lucky enough to happen upon one, knowing what it even does is one thing, but trying to find more will most likely leave you stumped. While they are quite valuable to sell, they have a far more important use and are limited in number. These rare treasures are tied to a specific companion you can get later on in the game, so finding each one is critical to making the most of their abilities. Being so small, many Soul Coins are easily missed, so here's how to get them all in Baldur's Gate 3.
What do Soul Coins do?

If you were lucky enough to find a Soul Coin on your own, even reading the description wouldn't give you much clue as to what it is or how you're supposed to use it. All it says is "Strange, incomprehensible whispers emanate from the coin, pervading your mind with rage and despair. These coins can power Infernal Engines." Not very helpful, save for that final extra line.

How to get Sussur Bloom in Baldur’s Gate 3
A Baldur's Gate 3 character lights the way.

Baldur's Gate 3 is almost as much of a loot-based game as it is a CRPG. While roaming around with your party, or your friends playing co-op, you will be bombarded with things to collect. There will be valuable things like new weapons, armor, and scrolls, but even more random things like plants and general debris. Eventually, your eyes might start to glaze over these random, seemingly useless items, but there are some, in particular, you shouldn't overlook. The Sussur Blooms are far from useless, but also quite rare. These have a very important use, so follow along to learn where you can find this special plant in Baldur's Gate 3.
Where to find Sussur Bloom

The Sussur Bloom is native to the dangerous Underdark area located beneath the Blighted Village. There are multiple ways into this zone, however the most convenient for collecting this bloom is to go in via the Zhentarim Hideout or Defiled Temple. Locate the massive glowing tree outside of the Arcane Tower(you literally can't miss it) and walk around its base to scoop up two Sussur Blooms. Make sure you hold left alt to highlight all interactables in the area to easily spot these plants in the dark.
