‘Lego Harry Potter Collection’ with remastered titles may head to PS4

This year is a very exciting one to be a Harry Potter fan. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, an all-new play script focusing on Harry and his family years after his time at Hogwarts, was just released to the expected level of fanfare, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will expand the film series into the United States later this year. But if you’ve been itching to play a new, honest-to-goodness Harry Potter video game again, it looks like you’ll chance have a to do that, too — sort of.

The Lego Harry Potter Collection, an unannounced remaster that presumably includes both Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and 5-7, was spotted in a Brazilian ratings database by Twitter user Felipe Mesquita. The rating is only for the PlayStation 4 version of the game, though given that the original two games were both multiplatform releases, it seems likely that the remastered collection would follow suit.

That’s not the only Lego-related Harry Potter content to expect this year. The toys-to-life game Lego Dimensions will get a Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them set in November, adding to an already eclectic mix of franchises included in the game. This could suggest that Warner Bros. doesn’t plan to release a dedicated Fantastic Beasts game.

Both Lego Harry Potter games received fairly positive reviews, continuing the great track record that developer Traveller’s Tales has produced over the last decade. This is in stark contrast to the more “faithful” video game adaptations, such as Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which, like many movie-to-game adaptations, was reviled.

No release date was offered with the Lego Harry Potter Collection leak, but we certainly expect to see it before the end of the year.

Ubisoft confirms Assassin’s Creed remakes are in the works
Basim perched on a ledge overlooking Baghdad

In a company interview with CEO Yves Guillemot posted on the Ubisoft website Thursday, the executive reveals that there are remakes of Assassin's Creed games in the works, although he doesn't specify which ones.

"Players can be excited about some remakes, which will allow us to revisit some of the games we've created in the past and modernize them," he says, implying that it could pertain to games made before Odyssey. "There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still extremely rich."

Surfaced patent shows what an Xbox streaming console would’ve looked like
An Xbox Series X sits next to both Series S models.

There have been a few Xbox devices that have never come to fruition, one of which was Keystone, a prototype for an affordable game streaming device you could hook up to your TV or monitor. Thanks to a surfaced patent, we've gotten an even closer look at what it would've potentially looked like.

The patent, first spotted by Windows Central, gives us a more complete view of the device. We've previously seen the Keystone in the flesh. Microsoft Gaming head Phil Spencer is known for hiding teases and interesting collectibles on the shelf in his office. In a 2022 X (formerly Twitter) post congratulating Bethesda on Fallout's 25th anniversary, you can see a small white device on the top shelf that's actually a Keystone prototype. Xbox told Digital Trends that it was a version of the device made before it decided to "refocus our efforts on a new approach.”
