As part of the lead-up to their E3 presentation this morning, Microsoft has announced that Happy Wars, Toylogic’s free-to-play multiplayer action-RPG, is being developed for the Xbox One.
The game, released for Xbox 360 in 2012 and Windows PC in 2014, centers around class-based multiplayer matches between teams of up to 15 trying to destroy each other’s castles. The classes are standard fantasy fare of Warrior, Mage, and Cleric, with specialized subclasses unlockable through more gameplay. There is also a short, single-player campaign mode that exists mostly to teach new players the game. Visually the game skews toward the silly, with big-headed chibi characters engaging in colorful chaos.
The Xbox One version will allow for splitscreen multiplayer for some local fun with friends. The game has been announced as being in development for Xbox One, but with no set release date yet.
