50 Shades of Game: PlayStation subs can now become the master

From now on, PlayStation Network users have the option to upgrade sub accounts into master accounts, according to an announcement on the PlayStation Blog. Currently, accounts can be upgraded through the web here, and in the future it will be possible to do so directly on the console.

Sub accounts allow PSN users under the age of 18 to access online content with limitations imposed by a parent or guardian. Master accounts have options such as controlling messages, imposing monthly spending limits, and disabling broadcasting.

Upgrading a sub account into a master account after turning 18 allows full access to everything that PlayStation Network and the PlayStation Store have to offer. Profiles, including friend lists and trophies, all carry over through the upgrade.

You can now play this underrated Marvel RPG for free thanks to Epic Games Store

If you missed out on Marvel's Midnight Suns, the 2022 turn-based RPG from XCOM developer Firaxis Games -- and based on the poor sales numbers, a lot of you did -- you can now play it for free thanks to the Epic Games Store.

The storefront has a new free game for users to claim every week, and this time it's Marvel's Midnight Suns. However, you only have until June 13 to claim the game for free. The deal only applies to the base game, although the two editions with extras are also on sale. The digital+ version comes with 11 premium skins and is on sale for $20 (down from the $80 full price). If you want access to all the post-launch characters -- Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and Storm -- along with those premium skins, you can purchase the legendary edition for $25 (down from $100).

PlayStation looking to replicate Helldivers 2 success with Concord pricing

Firewalk Studios revealed the pricing of its upcoming PlayStation-published game Concord on Thursday, and players interested in the hero shooter can now preorder it.

The standard edition of the game will cost $40 for both digital and physical versions, while the deluxe edition will run players $60. In a post on the PlayStation blog, Firewalk's director of marketing Pam Piscitello said that the standard version will offer all 16 playable characters, 12 maps, and six game modes. The deluxe edition is for players who want a bit extra, with more cosmetics and early access to play 72 hours ahead of the game's launch on August 23.

Those looking to check out PlayStation 2 classic Jak and Daxter on PC with multiplayer (we know there are a few of you) have some good news thanks to a new community-created mod that was released Wednesday.

First spotted by GamesRadar, the mod, called Teamruns, brings online multiplayer and couch co-op to the OpenGOAL Jak and Daxter project. OpenGOAL has released the first two Jak and Daxter games for PC as native ports (it's currently working on the third). Its PC port of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy was released in 2022, while the port for the second game came out in 2023.
