Other highlights hitting PlayStation Plus next month include Ubisoft’s groundbreaking simulation title From Dust and Actual Sunlight, an interactive short story for the PS Vita.
Released for the PlayStation 4 in 2015, Resident Evil HD Remaster is a visually updated version of Capcom’s classic survival horror game Resident Evil. Incorporating remastered visuals from a previously issued GameCube remake of Resident Evil, the PS4 edition boasts 1080p visuals, widescreen support, and a new control scheme.
Transformers: Devastation, also released in 2015, is a frantic hack-and-slash action game based on the popular animated series and film franchise. Developed by Bayonetta series creator Platinum Games, Transformers: Devastation features an original storyline and five playable Autobot characters, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Sideswipe, and Wheeljack.
The PlayStation 4 versions of Resident Evil HD Remaster and Transformers: Devastation will be available as free downloads for PlayStation Plus subscribers throughout the month of October.
PlayStation 3 owners with an active PlayStation Plus subscription will soon be able to get their hands on From Dust, a terrain-shifting simulation game from Another World creator Eric Chahi. Also up for grabs for PS3 owners next month is Mad Riders, a motocross racing game helmed by Dead Island series developer Techland.
Sony closes out October’s PlayStation Plus lineup with a pair of free digital releases for PS Vita owners, including the narrative-driven adventure game Actual Sunlight and Code: Realize — Guardian of Rebirth, a visual novel from Idea Factory and Aksys Games.
All of October’s featured PlayStation Plus games will be available as free downloads for subscribers when the PlayStation Store updates on October 4.
