With another year comes another huge sale from Steam. As in summers past, the online store is slashing a ton of prices on some of the best games on Steam, both old and new.

The Steam Summer Sale is a huge event for PC gamers. Every year, thousands of games get huge deals for a few weeks. This year’s Steam sale runs from June 24 through July 8.

Our picks

There are tons of games being discounted, but here are a few highlights to keep an eye on. One title that’s easy to recommend is Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which comes packaged with Halo 1-5 and Reach, all for 50% off at just $20. Each title is available separately as well for under $5.

Another big title that’s sporting a great deal is the renowned Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all of its DLC. At just $30 thanks to the sale, this is a welcome addition to any PC library.

There is also indie hit Hades for those who want a unique roguelike challenge at just under $18. For players looking for a more laid-back experience, there’s always No Man’s Sky, which just received an amazing expansion that added tons of quality of life updates to the game free of charge. It’s being discounted to $30.

There are tons of other games on sale for a solid discount like Resident Evil 3Forza Horizon 4Hollow KnightYakuza: Like a DragonNier Replicant, and many more, so take a look through on Steam to find some deals.

How to find the best deals in the Steam Summer Sale?

It can be a bit overwhelming to shop steam during the sale, and if you aren’t careful, you can end up buying way too many games you will never play. So our advice would be to go into the sale with a specific game in mind and see if it has a discount available. As long as it’s not a relatively new game, there’s a good chance it will be on sale. This method will help you avoid getting cut up in the huge discounts, leaving you enough cash to even think about giving Steam games as gifts to your loved ones.

A Horizon: Zero Dawn PC port is officially on the way months after rumors first began making the rounds. The former PlayStation 4 exclusive is coming to PC this summer, but don't expect the console's other exclusives to follow suit.

Coming to PC as the game's "complete edition," which includes The Frozen Wilds expansion, Horizon: Zero Dawn doesn't have a launch date on the platform yet. It will be available through Steam under Sony's PlayStation Mobile publishing arm, which has previously only been used for a handful of smaller titles.
