All Captain Toad locations in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is taking the series back to its 2D roots with a new and exciting art style and a ton of new mechanics. Alongside new power-ups and badges, this title has perhaps the largest amount of collectibles and hidden secrets of any game in the series. Between all the Wonder Seeds, Wonder Flowers, Flower Coins, and more, there’s no shortage of things to do as you run, jump, and flip your way through all the various worlds. Among all the playable characters to choose from, one non-playable character makes his triumphant return. Captain Toad has managed to make his way to the Flower Kingdom, but this intrepid explorer is not so easy to find. Each time you interact with him, he will reward you with some Flower Coins and a hint at an upcoming world, so let’s hunt down all his locations in Super Mario Wonder.

Captain Toad appears in five unique spots on the Super Mario Bros. Wonder world map. Talking to him at each spot will give you a little bit more of his story, plus the aforementioned rewards.

Our first encounter with the infamous Toad is in World 1 — Pipe-Rock Plateau. To get to the part of the map where he’s found, you must first enter and find the secret exit on the Piranha Plants on Parade level. From that exit point, you can now go to a new pipe that leads to the top of a skull-shaped volcano on Petal Isles. Captain Toad will introduce himself and give you 50 Flower Coins to help you on your quest.

Second Captain Toad location

Further into World 1, where the zone becomes more of a desert, you will see a path leading north that is blocked. You will need to pay to clear it so you can go to the upper corner of Pipe-Rock Plateau where the Parachute Cap I challenge is. Keep going toward the upper-right corner of the map to get a prompt to enter a secret pipe. You will be spat out in Fluff-Puff Peaks right next to Toad. He still hasn’t found his treasure yet, but will give you another 50 Flower Coins.

Third Captain Toad location

Nintendo

The last location in World 1 is near Angry Spikes and Sinkin’ Pipes. From that stage, go back and to the right behind the foreground to another secret pipe entrance. As always, Captain Toad has a gift of 50 Flower Coins for you after talking to him,

Fourth Captain Toad location

Nintendo

You won’t encounter Captain Toad again until you make it all the way to World 4. Starting from The Desert Mystery stage, head up the stairs until you come to a fork. Take the bridge ahead and then the next left and go all the way around the outside path behind the elevated platform with the question mark block on it. Directly behind it is another secret pipe. Talk with the very brave Captain Toad for an easy 50 Flower Coins.

The last stop on Captain Toad’s trip can be found right after the prior one. After coming back through the pipe, head back down to the desert floor and stand on all three stone square tiles on the ground to open a secret path in the north wall. Run past both stages here and behind the wall on the right to find the last hidden pipe. Captain Toad will have, you guessed it, 50 more Flower Coins to bestow upon you.

The best Mario games of all time, ranked
Mario twirls his cap in front of New Donk City in Super Mario Odyssey.

Nintendo’s Super Mario series is so monumental to the medium of video games that you might even think of the mustachioed plumber when you hear “video games” mentioned at all. From his earliest days when he battled Donkey Kong as “Jumpman.” to his latest adventures on the Nintendo Switch, to his latest movie appearance in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Mario has consistently been one of the greatest characters in video games. He’s such an iconic character that countless video games have had him as the star, and here we have ranked them.

For our list, we had two main criteria. First, the games have to be platformers -- either 2D or 3D. This eliminates Mario sports games, the Mario Kart series, role-playing games, and all the Mario Parties. Secondly, the games have to have Mario himself as the lead character. This eliminated Super Mario Land 3 and Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island. In the end, we were left with 22 games. None of them are bad, but we did have to name a loser. We also chose to omit The Lost Levels and instead considered Super Mario Bros. 2 as the definitive second game in the series.

Nintendo introduces a new Super Smash Bros. Switch OLED for Black Friday
Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Switch OLED.

Nintendo unveiled all of the Black Friday deals and bundles it plans to offer in the coming weeks. These offerings are headlined by a brand new Nintendo Switch bundle with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that has never been available before.
The Nintendo Switch -- OLED Model: Super Smash Bros. Ulitmate Bundle costs $350 and comes with a code for the fantastic 2018 crossover fighting game as well as three months of a Nintendo Switch Online Membership. The bundle's Joy-Cons feature a design based on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Unfortunately, this deal includes neither Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Fighter Passes nor the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. Nintendo says this bundle will be released on November 19, although they've already been spotted in some stores.
The other big new offering from Nintendo this holiday season is the Super Mario Party + Red & Blue Joy-Con Bundle. It costs $100 and includes a download code for Super Mario Party in addition to Red and Blue Joy-Con controllers. Keep in mind that this bundle includes 2018's Super Mario Party, not 2021's Mario Party Superstars, which remastered a lot of content from the series' older games.

Nintendo also plans to offer bundles that have been available before, like the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle and Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch Lite.
Various game discounts for Switch games will also go into effect on November 19. In terms of Nintendo-published games, people can expect Everybody 1-2-Switch! and Nintendo Switch Sports to be discounted by $10, titles like Luigi's Mansion 3, Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 to have $20 discounts, and for Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Mario Strikers: Battle League, and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes to all be available $30 cheaper than usual. Sadly, it does not look like Nintendo itself will offer any major deals surrounding this year's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
All of these bundles and deals will become available on November 19.

All Lunchbox locations in Alan Wake 2
Saga finding a lunchbox in the forest.

Collectibles are nothing new to the Alan Wake series. The first game's primary trinkets you would be scrounging around for were coffee thermoses, but those now serve as save spots in Alan Wake 2. What replaces them are several new types, such as Cult Stashes and Nursery Rhymes, but those are more puzzles than pure collectibles. The Alex Casey Lunchboxes are pure, hidden objects that just need to be found to unlock -- no puzzles or keys required. Aside from the trophy/achievement you get for finding them all, what they hold inside is more than worth the effort of collecting them. No, it isn't someone's leftover sandwich, but precious Manuscript Fragments required to upgrade Saga's guns. We've all lost track of Lunchboxes in the past, so here is where you can find them all in Alan Wake 2.
All Lunchbox locations
Across every major zone you go to as Saga in Alan Wake 2, you can get a total of 21 Alex Casey Lunchboxes. Each one has a few Manuscript Fragments and a little cryptic or creepy note attached for some additional lore.
