Sony Online Entertainment and Sigil Games have announced that their fantasy-themed Vanguard: Saga of Heroes massively multiplayer online role-playing game is now available in stores across North America and Europe, as well as for downloadable purchase from Sony Online Entertainment.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is set in the world of Telon, where characters try to rebuild their war-ravaged civilizations and fend off growing threats looming at the edges of the world. Designed by fantasy artist Keith PArkinson, the world features landscapes and elements reminiscent of top-notch fantasy art, with two continents and an archipelago packed full of adventures. Players can create characters from 19 rates and 15 professions, joining other online players in adventures, or even player-to-player engagements. Players can ride dragons, embark on a sea-based quest, or do battle from a warhorse, or opt to build houses, practice trade skills, or hone their diplomatic prowess.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is priced at $49.99, with a special collector’s edition going for $89.99. In North America, subscription fees for the game run $14.99 a month, with discounts for longer subscription periods. The game requires Windows 2000/XP/Vista, with at least 512 MB of RAM, DirectX 9 compatibility, and Vertex and Pixel Shader 2.0 compatible hardware with at least 128 MB of texture memory.

Xbox came off one of its best showcases of all time by holding another that got even more detailed about the games that were announced. Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2023 was a slower-paced show that went a lot deeper into some of the games present at the June 11 event. It's featured Xbox Game Showcase titles like Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator - Dune Expansion, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, Towerborne, and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.

There were some reveals that were exclusive to this show as well, like DLC for High on Life, an update for Hi-Fi Rush, and some new indie games. It was a surprisingly packed show for being a secondary event. Senua continues to struggle with the voices in her head, which eventually lead her to look at her reflection in the water and proclaim that everything she's done has led her to this place. She then gets pulled into the water at the end of the trailer.
