Xbox Game Pass now runs on more PCs and Surface devices

Microsoft is continuing its expansion of the Xbox Game Pass by releasing the ARMS64 version of the Xbox app for Windows. The company wrote in a blog post on Wednesday that the Xbox app has been updated to run natively on Windows PCs and other devices running Arms, including the Surface Pro X and the newly announced Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5.

The expansion of the Xbox app means that you can not only access Xbox Game Pass on recent models of the aforementioned devices, but that the app is also supported on older PCs that were originally not able to support cloud streaming in the first place, including PCs running software as far back as Windows 7. ARMS64 gets its name from the fact that the old PCs are capable of running on 64-bit Windows -- so can the Google Chromebooks.

If you want to add some more camouflage to your Xbox wireless controller collection, Xbox has got you covered. Microsoft has unveiled the Mineral Camo Special Edition controller.

This controller combines four different shades of blue to create a beautiful camouflage pattern. It has a vibrant mineral blue, aqua, and bright and dark purple -- all of which are inspired by oceanic geode crystals that give the controller its name.

Xbox September update introduces game library revamp and more

Microsoft is bringing a slew of changes to Xbox in the September update, including a revamped game library, controller color customization, and more.

The revamped game library is the most notable change you'll see here, as it has been redesigned to streamline access to the games you want to install and play. The All games tab in the Full library shows you all the games you own as games labeled with the logos of streaming services you're subscribed to, including Xbox Game Pass, EA Play, and claimed Games with Gold. For example, It Takes Two and Rocket Arena are tied to EA Play, while Forza Horizon 5 and Tinykin are linked to Game Pass.
