Bang & Olufsen to Release BeoVision 10-46 LCD TV in April

Bang & Olufsen attributes the sudden release of the new BeoVision 10-46 LCD TV to the great success of its predecessor the BeoVision 10-40. The company’s new 46-inch high-end HDTV sports the same technical specifications as its little brother the BV10-40—including the same sleek aluminum frame, an LED backlight and 200 Hz refresh rate. It is basically the same TV, but 6-inches larger.

“As a consequence of the positive reception of BeoVision 10-40, B&O has decided to launch a 46-inch version of the BeoVision 10 by the end of the financial year. The audio system, which was scheduled for launch before the end of the financial year, will be delayed, however,” says B&O.

BeoVision 10-46 will only be available in Europe, starting this April. The price is still unknown–and we’re going to guess it won’t be cheap, but it will probably be worth it.

Available starting today at select retailers and the B&O website, the Beolit 20 is the latest iteration of the company's portable Bluetooth speaker. Outwardly, it looks identical to the previous version, the Beolit 17, right down to its boxy shape and rounded bottom corners -- plus leather carry strap -- which make for a vaguely retro-inspired look, evoking vintage portable radios like this Dynatron TP11 "Nomad" from the 60s.

Bang and Olufsen resurrects its classic Beogram 4000 turntable

Bang & Olufsen is quite literally resurrecting a limited number of its classic Beogram 4000 turntables. The company has acquired 95 pre-owned original models and is renovating and upgrading them in the same factory where they were originally created. The back-from-the-dead vinyl spinners have been given the moniker Beogram 4000c, and the individually numbered units will be available to purchase for $11,000 each starting October 19.

It's hard to think of any hi-fi gear that is more iconic or timeless than B&O's original Beogram 4000 turntable, which the company sold in the 1970s. Its ultra-clean lines and space-age design stopped short of being industrial-looking thanks to the use of wooden accents. It's a balancing act we've come to associate with the legendary Danish audio marque.
