LG to Unveil World’s Thinnest LED-lit TV

LG got the hype ball rolling early for CES this week by dropping glimpses of an LCD TV it claims will be the world’s thinnest when the wraps comes off in Las Vegas next week. The LH95 LCD measures less than an inch thick, with a depth of only 0.98 inches.

Though the horizontal screen size of the new display hasn’t yet been specced, early images depict a screen that almost seems to disappear when viewed from the side due to its ultra-slim profile. AVING.net also claims the LH95 is driven by LEDs, features LG’s 240Hz TrueMotion Drive, and sports an astounding 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio.

No pricing or release date details have yet been announced, but LG will likely reveal more when CES commences on Jan. 8.
