Pyle audio, a company perhaps best known for rumbling car trunks with its beefy Pyle Driver amplifiers, unveiled a product of a different animal today, just in time to be added to your holiday shopping list. Pyle released the second generation of its PHBT5 wireless headphones this morning, and if you’re looking for a tech-y gift for a gadget fan in your circle, these $40 Bluetooth bombers just might be the answer.

Boasting a sleek wraparound headband design and compact ear cups in a multitude of available colors, the PHBT5 have a modern look that caters to a wide array of users. The autonomous cans also offer a bevy of options considering their meager price tag, including a rechargeable battery with an extended 10 hour runtime and 200 hours standby, Bluetooth version 3.0, a noise canceling microphone for receiving calls, and onboard controls for play, pause, song search, volume, and calling.

While we haven’t heard the PHBT5, we’re guessing they probably won’t be an audiophile’s choice for wireless listening. But their sheer affordability makes it easy for anyone to get into the cordless audio arena without breaking the bank. And with a rainbow of color options, from black to hot pink, they should fit the bill as a stocking stuffer for a variety of music lovers on your list.

The new PHBT5 Bluetooth headphones are available on Pyle’s website and at Amazon now.

master and dynamic mh40 wireless headphones mh40ws2 flat

It's been five years since Master and Dynamic burst onto the headphone scene with its gorgeous and smooth-sounding MH40 over-the-ear cans. To celebrate that milestone, the New York City-based audio company has released a fully wireless version of that iconic first product: the $299 MH40 Wireless.

The MH40 Wireless aren't just the original MH40s with a Bluetooth chip, though M&D has retained many of the MH40's most notable features. The retro-aviator look that was so instantly recognizable has been preserved in its entirety, and the same high-quality materials like stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and lambskin are all here too. However, the MH40 Wireless are a lot lighter (276g vs. 360g) despite having an internal battery, and they use a new set of 40mm custom drivers to achieve their sound quality.
