XtremeMac Intros Tango Studio iPod Speakers

XtremeMac has unveiled a new entry in its line of iPod speaker accessories in the form of the Tango Studio Audio System for iPod. Aimed at users who want to pop their iPods into bookshelf or desktop speaker systems, the Tango Studio offers two 3-inch drivers, a wireless remote, and a sleek black profile with a cloth grill and blue LED status display. The unit is priced at $79.95, and is available for pre-order now via the XtremeMac Web site, and will be appearing shortly at retail outlets.

"Tango Studio is at the very top of its class," said XtremeMac CEO Gary Bart, in a release. "You get a powerful two-way speaker system compatible with any iPod, a radio and a wireless remote all for $80. It’s a phenomenal value."

The Tango Studio is compatible with all iterations of Apple’s iPod nano, the iPod with video, the 4G iPods, the iPod mini, and the new iPod classic and iPod touch. The unit features an integrated FM Tuuner, an auxiliary jack for hooking up other iPod models or audio sources, and offers an audio output for connecting the system to computers or gaming systems. Of course, the Tango Studio charged iPods while docked, and the included wireless remote lets users control their tunes from up to 50 feet away.

AirPods Pro
– $220, was $250

We weren’t entirely impressed with the standard AirPods, so when Apple announced it was going to release the souped-up AirPod Pro, we were a little skeptical. Would the company be able to deliver this time and improve on all the areas that the AirPods failed? The answer is a resounding yes. The AirPods Pro are shockingly good and are absolutely the best true wireless earbuds that you can get if you’re an iOS user. Their sound quality has improved tremendously, their noise-canceling is spectacular, and they’re extremely comfortable to use even for a long period. Right now, you can score the AirPods Pro at Verizon for $220 instead of $250.

Best Buy discounts Apple HomePod and iPad Pro 12.9 for 4th of July
iPad Pro 2020 Screen.

With Best Buy's 4th of July sales officially underway, now's the perfect time to score the gadget of your dreams for a lot less, like the Apple HomePod and iPad Pro 12.9 (2018), both of which are on sale right now. You'll need to act fast, though: Discounts on Apple products typically don't last long.
Apple HomePod
— $200, was $300

The HomePod continues Apple's legacy of keeping it simple yet stylish. This smart speaker is not only wonderfully minimalistic but is also built like a tank. At 5.5 pounds, it has real heft, and that’s because of robust cabinetry and huge magnets on the internal drivers, which produce out-of-this-world bass. The HomePod is very simple to set up, but here's the catch: You must have an iOS device that's capable of running iOS 11.2.5, otherwise you won't be able to use it. The most primitive Apple devices that it will work on are the iPhone 5S, iPad Mini 2, and iPod Touch sixth generation. There is also a tragic lack of a Bluetooth connection and auxiliary input jack to connect non-Apple devices. Despite the drawbacks, here's where the HomePod really aces it: Sound quality. With a large cavity that houses a 4-inch woofer and seven tweeters surrounding the speaker (each coming with its own high-powered amplifier), the HomePod is the audiophile's smart speaker. Every music genre that we played on it sounded lush and rich in details, perfectly complemented by a full-bodied bass that means business. The HomePod is made exclusive for the Apple faithful. It normally retails for $300, but right now you can get it at Best Buy for a whopping $100 off.

AirPods Pro
— $220, was $250

It's probably pretty obvious that we weren't all that impressed with the standard AirPods. There are just several other true wireless earbuds out there that offer better value for your hard-earned money. So when Apple announced it was going to release the souped-up AirPod Pro, we were naturally skeptical. Will the company be able to deliver this time and improve on all the areas that the AirPods failed at? The answer is a resounding yes. The AirPods Pro are shockingly good and a huge win for Apple. Their sound quality has improved tremendously, their noise-canceling is spectacular, and they're extremely comfortable to use even for a long time. The only problem we foresee is their questionable long-term battery life. Right now, you can score the AirPods Pro at Verizon for $220 instead of $250.
