It’s been described as the “Uber for House Painting,” and now, Paintzen is stepping up its game with a pretty serious partnership. Tech-savvy DIY-ers now have a way to complete entire paint jobs 100 percent online, thanks to PaintZen’s new collaboration with Benjamin Moore, also known as “North America’s favorite paint, color, and coatings brand.” The 132-year-old paint company is partnering with the two-year-old New York based startup in hopes of bringing the venerable industry into the 21st century. Because millennials just don’t seem to have time to head over to Lowe’s or Home Depot to pick out their paint palettes anymore.

In efforts to attract a more youthful demographic, Benjamin Moore is looking to the on-demand home and office painting service, Paintzen, which closed a $7.2 million Series A round of financing just a few months ago. By managing the entirety of the process online, “from paint selection and quotes to booking and payment,” the young startup makes remodeling easy — at least, the painting portion of it.

“When it comes to providing customers with an absolute premium painting service, we know that the products used are just as important as the people completing the job. For that reason, we couldn’t be more excited to be exclusively offering paint and paint products from the most beloved brand in the industry,” said Paintzen Co-Founder and CEO, Mike Russell. “This partnership is also exciting for Benjamin Moore’s network of independently owned and operated local retailers who will directly benefit from this order and sales process.”

While Paintzen is currently centered in tech hubs San Francisco and New York City, they’ve already managed to paint 11,248 homes and 1,154 corporate spaces, and this number is only expected to grow as they expand their offerings. Getting started with Paintzen is a breeze — simply give the company an idea of where you live, what you want painted (don’t worry, you’ll be presented with plenty of handy guides and diagrams to help you get down to specifics), and you’ll instantly get a quote.

From there, all you need to do is pick your colors (now all courtesy of Benjamin Moore), and Paintzen will handle the rest, sending over a team of painters who are all licensed experts to ensure that you have the walls of your dreams. “All of Paintzen’s painting contractors are insured and have undergone background checks,” the Paintzen team notes, “and the company has a full team of project managers at the ready to guarantee job completion and satisfaction.”

So sure, you won’t have the opportunity to don coveralls and break out your brushes, but really, it’s about as close to doing everything on your own as you really want. It always sounds more glamorous in theory.
