If you think the gorgeous magazine spreads of designer kitchens and baths are too good to be true, a home appliance brick-and-mortar retailer provides shoppers an interactive experience at their state-of-the-art showrooms.

The idea for Pirch — which currently sells equipment for indoor and outdoor kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and floor care — was conceived by two veteran entrepreneurs who had grown frustrated while immersed in their own kitchen and bathroom home remodeling efforts.

“Our view was, could we go into the market of appliance and plumbing, disrupt it completely, and give the power back to the consumers, so they could dream and then play with the product, try it before they buy it, and make a really great decision about how to have inspired moments in their lives with their family and friends,” Pirch co-founder Jeffrey Sears told Bloomberg Business.

Afraid you’ll be left hanging after your washing machine stalls? Pirch lets you take a load off your mind by taking one for a spin in one of its laundry machines. Rather than stare at a selection of front-loader options without any idea how they truly function, pour some detergent and give them a whirl.

In need of a bathroom break while browsing? Use a Pirch lavatory, and you can try out the latest features on a Kohler toilet.

Each shop features operational vignettes with live cooktops, ovens, refrigerators, grills, and more. One example, dubbed the sanctuary, is a spa-like setting, where consumers can try a range of shower heads, steams, saunas, and bathtubs. Trained sales staff are ready to guide you through installation and service choices.

Carrying upscale brands such as Fisher & Paykel, Miele, Toto, and Sub-Zero, Pirch can be found within high-end shopping centers in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, San Diego, and four other locations.
