The best iPhone 7 Plus screen protectors

Nothing is more horrifying than dropping your phone and picking it up to see the screen shattered and unusable. But you can prevent this terrible situation if you use an iPhone 7 Plus screen protector. A screen protector made to fit your iPhone 7 Plus will offer excellent protection against many potential dangers. Not all screen protectors provide the same features, so check out our list for a look at your best options.

InvisibleShield Glass+ Screen Protector

If you want the best of the best, the InvisibleShield Glass+ protector for the iPhone 7 Plus is most likely the way to go. Its tempered glass has been strengthened using a proprietary Ion Matrix reinforcement process, making it especially resistant to drops, scratches, and knocks. As a result, it boasts greater shatter resistance than the average protector, while it’s also smudge and fingerprint resistant, so that it continues to look the business throughout its lifespan. Impressively, the protector also boasts 100% clarity, which is very rare, meaning that you’ll struggle to remember it’s even on your iPhone. It comes with application tabs to make it easy to fit to the device.

JETech 3-Pack Screen Protector

Sold in a pack of three, this tempered glass screen protector is a great low-cost option for guarding your iPhone 7 Plus against harm. It carries a 9H hardness rating, so it will defend against knives, keys, and other household objects. It’s also only 0.33mm thick, so it retains the sensitivity of the iPhone’s touchscreen and also its vivid clarity. As a bonus, the pack comes with a guide stick, cleaning cloth, and dust removal stick, so you should have no problem installing the protector.

Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protector

It may be cheap, but Supershieldz’s iPhone 7 Plus screen protector ticks pretty much every box. It consists of tempered glass with a 9H hardness rating, it has been treated with hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings, and it uses 2.5D rounded edges for comfort and ease of use. It’s also sold as a two-pick, while the added installation frame should make fitting it to the iPhone as easy as pie.

OtterBox Alpha Glass

For the best screen protection, you want to go with OtterBox, a manufacturer that’s always in the conversation about quality smartphone cases. The Alpha Glass is a bit pricier than some of the others on this list, but that money gets you quality protection that revels in a crystal-clear design, perfect touchscreen sensitivity, and scratch and shatter resistance. Even if you drop your iPhone and it lands facedown, you shouldn’t have to pick up the shattered remnants of your screen protector or, more importantly, your iPhone’s display.

Whitestone Dome Screen Shield

Another excellent option for the iPhone 7 Plus is this tempered-glass protector from Whitestone. Using a special liquid glass adhesive, this screen protector even has the potential to repair existing scratches. It also covers the entire screen, including the rounded edges. You get an installation kit in the box, and if you follow the instructions and take your time, you should end up with a bubble-free, perfect finish. It has an oleophobic coating to ward off fingerprints and smudges, and it will guard against drop damage, scuffs, and knocks.

Purity Screen Protector – Triple Pack

A textbook screen protector should keep your device safe from scratches and scuffs, won’t hinder your viewing experience, and is easy to install. Purity does all of that. The screen protector covers the front of your iPhone 7 Plus while leaving precise cutouts for the speaker and home button. The combination of an oleophobic and hydrophobic coating makes the glass super smooth and clear so you won’t have to worry about getting sweat or finger grease on it. For ease of installation, Purity includes a tray that you can apply on top of your device, ensuring perfect alignment of the screen protector.

Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector

While the listing may say iPhone 8 Plus, due to the identical dimensions of both devices this protector also works just as well for the iPhone 7 Plus. It’s a tempered glass screen protector with a 9H hardness rating, so it will resist the hardest metal objects you can throw at it. It also comes with an oleophobic coating for fingerprint resistance, helping you to avoid unsightly smudges. Other nice features include the helpful alignment frame included in the pack, while the protector has been designed to be compatible with every iPhone 7 Plus Spigen case. Sold in a pack of two.

Skinomi MatteSkin

If you often use your smartphone in the great outdoors, Skinomi’s MatteSkin could be the way to go given its anti-glare properties that make it easier to see your display in direct sunlight. The MatteSkin completely covers the front of the phone, too, instead of just the touchscreen, but because it’s not glass, it won’t really guard against the threat of cracks from falls and bumps. This screen protector promises protection against scratches, precise punctures, and fingerprint smudges, and it’s made with cases in mind, so you shouldn’t have to deal with peeling when using a case and the MatteSkin together.

TechMatte amFilm Tempered Glass

The amFilm screen protector doesn’t completely cover the front of your iPhone 7 Plus, but it does allow space for protective cases and room for adjustment during the application process. For those seeking edge-to-edge protection, amFilm’s design choice may be disappointing, but this tempered-glass protector safeguards the screen. The 1080p HD display won’t be compromised, nor will touchscreen functionality or accuracy, so you can continue to use 3D Touch normally. It’s incredibly thin, but will prevent scratches and fingerprint marks, and should take the sting out of any drops your phone encounters.

Omoton Crystal Clear Tempered Glass

Omoton’s screen protector covers the entire front of the iPhone 7 Plus, except for the curved edges, which may be a huge turnoff if you’re hoping to cover every part of your phone. It is ultrathin, and when combined with a protective case, you’ll hardly be able to tell you’re using a screen protector. Scratch resistance is its leading feature, but it also offers clarity, bubble-free installation, and the ability to fend off oil residue and smudges.

Tech Armor Ballistic Glass Screen Protector – Triple Pack

While Tech Armor’s screen protector is yet another that doesn’t extend to the iPhone 7 Plus’ curved edges, it does protect the 5.5-inch display incredibly well, making it perfect for anyone prone to cracking their screens. The protector’s most unique quality is that it’s made using Japanese Asahi glass, which basically means it won’t shatter as easily as other, cheaper screen protectors, though, as always, we recommend avoiding drops if possible. Nearly perfect HD clarity, uninterrupted 3D Force Touch, and compatibility with most protective cases make Tech Armor’s product a decent choice. Best of all, it comes in a triple pack.

BodyGuardz SpyGlass Screen Protector

BodyGuardz SpyGlass is most beneficial to those concerned about people looking over their shoulder to see what’s on their screen. The SpyGlass screen protector, aside from providing the usual protection, makes it impossible for the iPhone’s display to be seen from an angle, meaning you can bring up personal information such as phone numbers, bank accounts, and work documents without worry. If you enjoy your privacy and are often on your phone in public, BodyGuardz’s SpyGlass is perfect for you.

According to 9to5Mac, Apple has significantly changed its repair and standard warranty policies — potentially resulting in higher repair costs for iPhones and Apple Watches.

The policy change pertains to “single hairline cracks.” In the past, this type of problem was covered by the standard warranty for these products. However, it is now being treated as “accidental damage,” with customers being required to pay for the repair.
