If you like big phones and sharp photos, here’s a 7-inch phablet with a rotating camera

Chinese phone companies are known for their eccentric phablet designs. Oppo’s N1 smartphone was one of the first to feature a rotating camera and now another Chinese smartphone maker is copying that design. The Chuwi DX1 is a massive, 7-inch phablet with a rotating camera.

The Chuwi DX1 sports mid-range specs in every other regard, but it’s camera sounds much more impressive. The device has a 13-megapixel camera sensor that sits on a rotating component at the top of the phone. Just like the Oppo N1, the camera on the Chuwi DX1 rotates from back to front whenever you want to take a high-quality selfie. The camera is paired with a LED flash, too.

A MediaTek MT8382 processor and 1GB of RAM power Chuwi’s DX1 and the company added 16GB of storage, which can be expanded via a MicroSD card slot. The Chuwi DX1 sports a large 6.98-inch IPS screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. A hefty 3000mAh battery should keep the tablet-sized phone running for a decent amount of time, especially since the screen is not Full HD. The DX1 comes with Android 4.4 preinstalled and supports both 2G and 3G networks.

The Chuwi DX1 costs just $130 in China and will likely appeal to phablet fans who take a lot of selfies, but can’t afford an iPhone 6 Plus or Galaxy Note 4. It probably won’t make it’s way to the U.S. or anywhere in Europe for that matter, but it could possibly arrive in neighboring Asian countries. The Chuwi DX1 is available for purchase at online retailer JD.com

Where do I even start with the Nokia 3210?
