It’s all about the Power of 10 this year for HTC. On tap for this spring is the HTC 10, and it now appears the Taiwanese company might be readying a mini version of the device now that Apple has made a splash with the iPhone SE. What makes the iPhone SE special is that not only is it a smaller phone, it features similar specs found on the larger, more premium phones.

Based on the rumors, HTC might be going in the same direction with the HTC 10 Mini. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

Top of the line specs

According to Android News in Australia, the HTC 10 Mini was revealed in a leaked memo, and it sports a 4.7-inch display. It might not be considered a “mini” by some people, especially when the iPhone SE has a 4-inch display. However, with most phones being 5-inches or greater, it’s not a crazy notion either.

As far as power is concerned, the HTC 10 Mini could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 under the hood. This processor hasn’t been officially announced by Qualcomm, and the rumor is that it will be identical to the Snapdragon 820, but with a higher 2.8GHz clock speed. So it’s likely to be a quad-core processor built with custom Kryo 64-bit cores.

The only other rumored spec is that it’ll have 4GB of RAM, which is pretty hefty for a mini phone.

Design

Little is known about the design of the rumored phone, but it’s likely to look very much like the HTC 10. So it could have an all metal body and chamfered edges on the backside. It’s also likely to sport a similar home button at the bottom front of the device, which could double as a fingerprint sensor.

Release date and pricing

The HTC 10 Mini is rumored to launch this September. However, we don’t know if that refers to an event when the phone will be officially announced or if it will actually become available for purchase.

We’ll keep you updated on the HTC 10 Mini rumors right here, so check back often.

The OnePlus 10T just leaked with a few disappointing changes
OnePlus 10T titled

Apparently, OnePlus is bringing its T series phone back for 2022. As per new renders from Smartprix and @OnLeaks, the OnePlus 10T will be released later this year — and it'll look a whole lot like the OnePlus 10 Pro that came before it. OnePlus dropped the T version last year with no OnePlus 9T to speak of. As such, the OnePlus 10T will succeed the OnePlus 8T launched in 2020.

As mentioned above, the design of the OnePlus 10T looks identical to the flagship OnePlus 10 Pro. However, OnePlus has made some changes that aren't so pleasing. From cheaper materials to missing features, the 10T doesn't make the best first impression.

HTC’s newest phone is a boring mid-ranger designed for the metaverse
HTC desire 22 pro in black

HTC has lifted the covers from the Desire 22 Pro, its latest smartphone that is equipped from top to bottom in metaverse functionalities (or so says HTC). HTC claims that the Desire 22 Pro can connect with its Vive Flow virtual reality glasses, allowing users to stream content from the phone’s screen to the wearable’s display. In doing so, users get to experience an expanded field of view equivalent to a 300-inch screen.

The latter is facilitated by a tech called HDCP, offering support for apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. However, it is unclear if the courtesy will be extended to graphics-intensive online games which consume a lot of network bandwidth, something that requires a fast wireless connection and a processor powerful enough to handle it. That seems unlikely for the HTC Desire 22 Pro, as the phone comes armed with Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 695 chipset.

OnePlus 10 leak shows a familiar design and surprising specs
Alleged render of OnePlus 10

The confusing saga of a standard OnePlus 10 model just took another interesting turn. OnSitego has shared renders of the yet-to-be-announced OnePlus 10 allegedly based on a prototype of the device, as seen by reliable leaker Yogesh Brar.

Looking at these OnePlus 10 renders, it appears that OnePlus took the OnePlus 10 Pro’s camera island and stretched it all the way to the other edge. The glossy camera bump flaunts three lenses, an LED flash ring, and the Hasselblad branding on the side. The rest of the rear panel appears to rock the same sandstone black finish that we saw on the OnePlus 10 Pro.
