Announced back in January by a group of ex-Google employees, the Jide Ultra Remix could be in your hands later this year for around $400. However, through the company’s upcoming Kickstarter campaign, it can be yours for a measly $40, reports Liliputing.
The campaign, which launches on March 25, has an entry pledge reward level of $40. Although the reward for that level was not revealed, Jide did say every pledge will receive a tablet.

The Ultra Remix runs a heavily-customized version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat. However, an update to Android 5.0 Lollipop is in the works, which is optimized for the tablet’s 11.6-inch screen. In other words, it’s meant to bring a laptop experience to
Jide didn’t reveal how many of its Ultra Remix tablets will be available at the entry pledge reward level, though we should find out when the Kickstarter campaign launches.
