Microsoft has steadily been releasing mid-range Lumia Windows Phone devices over the past few months, having already put the Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, and most recently the Lumia 550 on sale. However, the previously rumored Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 are still unofficial, but that hasn’t stopped the rumors flowing. Here’s everything we think we know about these two phones so far.

What happened to the Lumia 750 and Lumia 850?

There’s no confirmation the Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 even exist, let alone whether Microsoft will ever release them. However, there has been continued talk about both.

Images of a phone believed to the Lumia 850 leaked in early February. It’s believed to sport a 5.4-inch display, and the images seem to reveal a front-facing flash and an iris scanner. It also appears to feature a USB 2.0 port instead of USB Type-C.

Of course we don’t know the validity of the images or even how old the prototype is. It does appear to be a nice looking phone however, so we hope it gets released.

In mid-January, a mysterious new Windows Phone — under the model number RM-1182 — was leaked after showing up in China, where it was listed on some official certification documents.

The device doesn’t have a spec list attached, and it could be either the Lumia 750, Lumia 850, or another device entirely. There’s also no release date, but the certification shows it being stamped on December 28, hinting it’ll be coming in the near future. Mobile World Congress comes at the end of February, which would seem a likely launch platform for the phone.

Prior to this, the Lumia 750 has been linked to both the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and the Snapdragon 617 processor. Other rumored specs include 1GB of RAM, a screen resolution of 1,280 x 720, and a size of around 5 to 5.5-inches. Additionally, the 750 may have 8GB of internal storage, a MicroSD card slot, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Lumia 850 may have a higher spec, with a larger screen, more RAM, and a stronger processor. Screen resolution may get a slight bump to 1,280 x 768, and the rear camera may go up to 10 megapixels, while the front-facing camera remains at 5 megapixels. Finally, The Lumia 850 should include 16GB of expandable internal storage.

We’ll keep you updated here on more Lumia 750 and Lumia 850 rumors as they hit the news.

Lumia 550 is official, Lumia 750 and 850 remain hidden

Microsoft announced several new Windows 10 devices at its event on October 6. The Lumia 550 was the only mid-range phone launched alongside the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, and no mention was made regarding the Lumia 750 or Lumia 850. This doesn’t mean they’ve been canceled, or never existed in the first place, but if they’re still coming out, the announcement may not be around the corner.

An unnamed source allegedly managed to get their hands on some internal documents prior to the event, which revealed Microsoft planned to release three mid-level Lumia smartphones at the October 6 event: the Lumia 550, Lumia 750, and the Lumia 850.

The Lumia 550 leak appears to be accurate, although at the time of writing, we’re still waiting for Microsoft to confirm all the 550’s specs. The $140 price gets you a 5-inch screen and a quad-core processor, and the leak states the screen will have a 960 x 540 pixel resolution, the chip will be a Snapdragon 210, and other features will include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a MicroSD card slot. There’s a 5-megapixel camera around back, while a 2-megapixel camera sits on the front. Twitter phone leaker @evleaks uploaded a press photo of what appears to be the Lumia 550 prior to the launch.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 price just leaked, and it’s bad news
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5's hinge.

We have bad news for those who hope to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 when it's released, as it looks like the phone will be more expensive than the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which it will replace.

According to SmartPrix, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will cost $1,100 for the 256GB model and $1,220 for the 512GB model, representing a $100 price increase over the previous model. Earlier today, we reported that SmartPrix also anticipates the same price hike for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which could start at a whopping $1,899. Samsung will likely announce the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Watch 7 at an Unpacked event in Paris, France, on July 10. All three new products should be available to the public soon after. We're also excited for the event as it may be the launchpad for the Galaxy Ring smart ring.
