Adam Driver battles dinosaurs in first trailer for 65

Over the last 30 years, Jurassic Park has cornered the market on dinosaur content. These films explore dinosaurs in the present day as humans attempt to play God and recreate prehistoric creatures. However, what if the roles were reversed? What if humans traveled back in time and had to survive during the time of dinosaurs? Now, 65, a new sci-fi thriller starring Adam Driver, will look to answer that question.

Driver plays Mills, the pilot of a long-range exploratory mission carrying 35 passengers. After an asteroid hits the ship, Mills crash-lands on an unknown planet. As it turns out, the planet is Earth, 65 million years ago. Mills eventually finds one survivor of the crash, a young girl named Koa (Ariana Greenblatt). Now, the duo must navigate the unfamiliar environment if they have any chance of being rescued. But they’re not alone, and soon must fight for survival as they battle prehistoric creatures, including dinosaurs.

65 - Official Trailer - Only In Cinemas March 10

This film marks Driver’s first sci-fi film since playing Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. As one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood, Driver will next be seen in Noah Baumbach’s White Noise. In addition to 65, Driver is set to appear in Michael Mann’s Ferrari sometime in 2023.

From Sony Pictures, 65 is written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the duo who wrote 2018’s A Quiet Place. Sam Raimi, fresh off the success of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, serves as a producer. Danny Elman, Raimi’s frequent collaborator, will compose the score.

Where to watch the 2023 sci-fi movie 65
Adam Driver in 65.

Earlier this year, Star Wars veteran and potential Fantastic Four cast member Adam Driver headlined 65, an original sci-fi film from Sony Pictures. Evil Dead icon Sam Raimi produced the film, which was co-written and co-directed by the duo of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. While Driver is the human star of the film, the real attractions are the dinosaurs that inhabited the Earth 65 million years ago. And unfortunately for Driver's character, Mills, he may be the only man alive in that time period. But he isn't the only human.

65 hit theaters on March 10, 2023, which makes it one of the more recent additions to the streaming-verse. Now, with the official streaming premiere of 65 only a day away, we're going to tell you where you can watch it.

5 reasons why Adam Driver would make a great Mr. Fantastic in the MCU
Adam Driver in 65 and Mr. Fantastic from Marvel's Fantastic Four.

It's been eight years since Marvel's Fantastic Four lit up the big screen, and the upcoming reboot has had fans speculating about who should play the original superhero team in the MCU. Earlier today, rumors suggested that Adam Driver is in final negotiations to portray Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, the leader of the Fantastic Four. As of this moment, none of the major Hollywood trade publications have picked up this news. But if this is really happening, it's a fantastic choice (pun intended).

John Krasinski portrayed an alternate version of Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and he had previously been fan-cast in the role. Miles Teller was the last actor to star as Reed in 2015's Fantastic Four, and Ioan Gruffudd preceded him in the role a decade earlier. If Driver does go on to headline the 2025 Fantastic Four reboot, here are five reasons why he would make a great Mr. Fantastic.

65’s ending explained
Mills and Koa stand in a forest together in 65.

Warning: this article contains major spoilers for 65 (2023).

65’s story is fairly simple. Set “prior to the advent of mankind,” the sci-fi film follows Mills (Adam Driver), a for-hire pilot from a distant world who ends stranded on an uncharted planet after his ship is hit by an unexpected asteroid storm. With all of his cryogenically asleep passengers presumed dead, Mills briefly considers killing himself in 65’s opening minutes before he discovers that one of his passengers, a little girl named Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), survived their crash.
What is 65 about?
After waking Koa up, Mills takes it upon himself to journey with her to their ship’s emergency escape vessel, which crash-landed over a dozen kilometers away on a distant mountain. Unfortunately for Mills and Koa, viewers quickly discover that they haven’t crash-landed on just any planet, but a prehistoric Earth that is still populated by dinosaurs. As a result, the duo’s escape from Earth doesn't end up being nearly as easy as they would have liked.
