The second season of Amazon’s Transparent is just starting production, but the online retail giant already wants more. Amazon Studios announced today that a third season of the Golden Globe-winning series has been greenlit. Fans of the show who don’t have Amazon Prime already may want to change that, because the series will be available exclusively to Prime members in 2016.

A dark comedy, Transparent is the story of the Pfefferman family in the aftermath of the family patriarch’s decision to live life as a woman. “I am so thrilled that I get to share more of the Pfeffermans’ story with the world,” said series creator Jill Soloway. “We are all so in love with watching them change and grow. I am blown away by the creative freedom Amazon gives me and I can’t wait to reveal where this journey is going to take us.”

Along for the ride in Season 3 will be returning cast members Jeffrey Tambor as Maura, Judith Light as Shelly, Gaby Hoffmann as Ali, Amy Landecker as Sarah, and Jay Duplass as Josh.

Soloway, who has signed a deal to work exclusively on television projects for Amazon Prime, was praised by Vice President of Amazon Studios Roy Price. “Jill is truly a creative force and I’m thrilled that we will be collaborating with her additional projects in the future and on a third season of Transparent,” he said. “The second season is currently starting production, and I know our customers will be delighted to continue the journey with Maura and the Pfefferman family.”

Production on the binge-worthy series begins next week in Los Angeles, with Season 2 being released later this year.
