Amazon is premiering Style Code Live, its first live show, tonight

The infomercial isn’t dead — it’s just moved online. Now that it’s come out with its own fashion lines, Amazon is finding a new way to market its products. And it’s quite the throwback. Effectively becoming the QVC of the millennial generation, Amazon is launching its very first live show tonight, and with hosts whose pasts include being Miss America, a contestant on Big Brother, and an MTV presenter, there’s no way that you won’t be … amused. The 30-minute Style Code Live is the latest of Amazon’s digital video offerings, and claims to be a fashion and beauty program complete with makeup demos, interviews, and the latest style trends.

Airing Monday through Friday at 9 p.m. ET Style Code Live features hosts Lyndsey Rodrigues, Rachel Smith, and Frankie Grande, who on tonight’s episode will discuss “three fashion must-haves for spring” and “red lips — the beauty look of the moment.” Hooked yet?

And much like QVC or HSN or any other shopping network (because let’s face it, that’s exactly what Style Code Live is), there will be no advertisements to interrupt your half hour of fast-paced commentary and salesmanship, but never fear — if you see something on the show you want to buy, you’ll be able to access all mentioned products by way of a gallery positioned below the video player.

Ultimately, the segment is meant to be an interactive experience. “We can talk about what’s trending now, what’s happening in social media,” Munira Rahemtulla, the show’s director, tells Variety. “That way we’re able to create a community of people talking about fashion and beauty.”

Rachel Smith, who won the Miss America pageant back in 2007, tells The Next Web that the new show will give viewers “something they can’t find anywhere else.” The extent to which that particular statement holds true has yet to be determined, but if you’re a loyal Amazon customer, you may want to check out their latest endeavor.

After a polarizing Selection Sunday, the field for the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship is set. Sixty-eight teams will compete for a chance to make the Final Four in Phoenix and win a national championship. Four games will be played across two nights to reduce the field from 68 to 64. Think of these games as the play-in round, similar to the NBA's Play-In Tournament. The eight teams competing in the First Four are Wagner, Howard, Colorado State, Virginia, Grambling State, Montana State, Colorado, and Boise State.

2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Selection Show live stream: watch Selection Sunday

This is March. Those three words signal the beginning of March Madness and the return of the greatest tournament in sports, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. The 68 teams in the tournament will be revealed during the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Selection Show.

By Sunday evening, 32 teams have automatically qualified for the tournament by winning a conference. The remaining 36 teams will be granted an at-large bid from the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Selection Committee. This 10-member group will determine the at-large bids through several factors, including quality wins and NET ranking. The Selection Committee also determines the seeding for the bracket.
